Hello there, FGers past and present! It’s been a long, long, long time. The world is a strange place at the moment, and we hope everyone is doing as well as they can be.

Those of you who were FanGathering regulars will remember that, once upon a time, the Site Team used to send out a (mostly) monthly newsletter. The last edition was released in January of 2010 – a full decade ago! – and the forum in general has been relatively quiet for several years, now. But thanks to a few loyal FGers (more on that, later!), the past few months have seen FG looking like a community again. And with the FG Rennaisance, Revival, or whatever else you’d like to call it, the Site Team is happy to say that the Haven Herald is back in action.

Here’s what you can expect from the new Herald. Each month, we’re going to be giving you a rundown of the big news that’s happened in relation to Artemis Fowl, Eoin Colfer, and FanGathering in general. This month’s FG recap will look a little bit different, but in the future, we’ll be giving you updates on popular threads, the Artemis Fowl Read-Along (come join!), and of course, the intrepid “monolith” that is the counting thread and its new secret goal. We’ll also be showcasing the talents of two FGers each month, as well as bringing you the results of our new official monthly poll.

There is one more new feature that we are extra excited to bring you – but we’ll let you read on and find out what it is.

So, without further babbling, here we go! Welcome back, or glad you’ve stayed. This is the Haven Herald.
