About a week ago, we were hacked. We apologize profusely to any of you who have had to avoid the site over the past few days, or worse, were infected by it. 🙁
Thankfully we are safe again, and hopefully that will have been both the first and last time we ever have this problem on FanGathering!

Yep, they’re safe again. There is still a problem with the gallery, but thankfully, it’s just an aesthetic one. No more security threats!

My original plan was to redirect all mainpage-requests to RR, but then another slightly similar incident elsewhere made me realize that it would be just too mean so I didn’t. 😛 Now I kinda regret that because it would’ve been awesome to rickroll 100+ people or so. :DOh, btw, you just Lost The Game.

Please don’t tell me it was a shock site infection? I didn’t see it, but if it is something like “Last measure” (dont look at up for the sake of your computer) then your comps is severely in trouble.. what was it?
No, it definitely was not “Last measure” [don’t look it up, it’s an evil shock site].
The script basically bombards your computer with a ton of malware which uses your machine to participate in dirty internet practices such as clickfraud and spam. Your computer basically becomes their zombie and pawn.
Speculators say that the notorius cyberterrorists identified as the Russian Business Network are behind all of this. [Sounds like a storyline out of the Arctic Incident, eh? 😉 ]

Holy s***. So THAT’S what happened. My PC was down for THREE MONTHS because of what that worthless hacker did. I had to rehaul the system and am even now still re-installing things.
