I don't watch Doctor Who. But I have incorporated some sci fi into my fic, it's just not up yet. I need to type it. It involves alternate universes, portals and obsessiveness as the main ingredient. Cool, huh?
I've got sci-fi in my fics too. It involves the infinite univere theory (which I invented and it DOES make sense if you think about it) and the Infinity Squared/Cubed idea. I also have ones about the secret fairy reasearch base Chandra Lunar Base 1(Chandra for short) on the dark side of the moon, and one about time travel by way of bent-fabric diminsion-jumping, which is a sort of interdimension hitchhiking. I still need to type them all though. And my Infinite Universe Theory proves that Artemis Fowl is REAL and not just a fantasy book. I'd explain the theory but it's rather long.
Is it "In an infinite universe, It's logically impossible for anything to be false?" Listen, I figured out the universe already.
Think about this. There's more empty space than matter in the universe, and if it's infinite, then all the matter in the universe is infinitely small. Everything is the same size, and all together forms a tiny speck of dust that is the same size as everything in it.
In other words, the universe and everything in it is so small that it doesn't technically exist. Existence is an illusion.
ooooooookkkkaaayyyyyy to lazy to read that my brain doosen, wan,t to work cause I just got back ffrom spring break and had to use my brin at school u know this mornig when my mum came to wake me up shes like wake up and I'm like no there no school today but no I was stuppid there was school
Not exactly. If my theory is true, then it couldn't be true, which would make it true... It's a sort of paradox, and it's very difficult to explain. One of those things that is hard to put in words. And it's not an infinite universe. DEFINITELY not an infinite universe. If you imagine there to be a sort of liquid graph paper (because of the square pattern on it) that bubbles up into nothing from nothing, and nothing is something, and something is... ah great, this isn't making any sense. I can't find the right words.
The universe doesn't exist. Too small. I am the same size as an ant, the planet, the sun, and all the matter in the universe. Size is an illusion. Oh, and there are also no people in the universe.
The best place to find plausible science theories is science fiction. It's always crazy enough to be true. *Stacks copies of The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, 2001: A Space Oddessy, Redevzous With Rama, Robot Visions, The nine Billion Names of God, etc. on desk* Has anyone read anything by Issac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, Douglas Adams, or Michael Crichton? Does the number 42 have any special signifigance to you?
Nice picture. I really like stylized art.
I've head of Doctor Who but I don't really know what it is. As long as it's sci-fi I'm sure that I'll like it. I'm even writing my own sci-fi novel. It's actually more cyberpunk as it takes place 30 years in the not-so-pretty future, where the air is so polluted that you cannot go outside without a "smog patch" in your throat to filter out pollution, and the rain is actually mildly poisonous. Thre I go rambling off again. *cough* I've seen some advertisements for Doctor Who on TV, but it did't really say what Doctor Who was.
Yeah, I just went and read your fics. It now gives me a general idea of what Doctor Who is. I tried reading the Wiki pedia article on Doctor Who, but it got a little confusing.
i saw a bit of doctor who once.. he had a british accent.. lol
but it was weird. sumthing w/ going to a fancy hospital but finding out sum disturbing secrets.. like mutuant ppl.. (i spelled that wrong) but didnt get around to watching it all.
oh and on the topic of sci fiction.. have any of u ( PhoenixStarr and P5YCHIC) ever read Ender's Game? very good sci fic book.. strongly recommanded from me.
Never read it.. I was thinking about buying it the other day though. If you want a really good classic, in fact probably THE classic of sci-fi, read 2001: A Space Oddessy. Then watch the movie.
And P5YCHIC, you inspired me to write an AF fic with the Doctor in it. I'm reading up everything that I can find on him because I've never actually watched the show, and I've never seen it on the Sci-Fi channel. But given what I know so far, he seems to be a very very interesting character. I also might include HAL 9000 (Hal for short), the supercomputer from 2001: A Space Oddessy, as one of the antagonists.
Amazingly enough, I understand your theories Dan. But we must exist, as we are typing to each other now.
And how do you know there isn't a lot of mass in other universes?
Artemis is right however, that space will decay before time.
You know, Artemis likes David Bowie.
Pitch me a sequel for my fanfiction series, and the Best Idea gets written into a fanfic!
post them here, or on my fanfiction.
(All ideas must relate to both Artemis Fowl and Doctor Who.)
