Story Details

Step one you say we need to talk
He walks you say sit down it’s just a talk
He smiles politely back at you
You stare politely right on through
Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
And you begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And would I have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Holly sat Artemis down. He looked away, not wanting to look at her concerned eyes. She stared him hard, shocked to see the once handsome boy had turned into a screwed up mess of a so-called ‘man’.

His face had turned a ghostly pale, his once lean body was now no more than skin and bones, his once glittering eyes were now dead and cold. Where was his soul? It was no where to be found. It was no where to be seen.

” Why?” She asked. She put her hand on his shoulder, but he pushed it away and began to walk towards the door. She knew if she tried to stop him again, it would break into another fight. And fights led to chaos. And she had the scars to prove.

    I loved it. I didn’t really see the point to putting it into chapters, but other then that, PERFECT! I love the use of the song! I was singing along with the song while I read. I love The Fray! They’re one of my fave bands EVER! I’m pretty sure this is my new favorite fanfic here too! I would put up a crying smiley, but I honestly didn’t feel the urge to cry or be sad at all. :? It’s really weird. Oh and FIVE STARS!

    Interesting concept. You could have elaborated just a tiny bit, there were a few things I had to spend a moment on. Like, “Wait- Holly a recon female, right???” That was amazing writing, especially for something so sad. But, it’s not really a songfic unless it’s sad =). Keep writing!

    PS, If your e-mail is based on what I think it is, you’re awesome. Is it after the song?
