A/N: Minerva doesn’t exist in here, and P5 said that I might want a new story, so here it is. Might be a little shabby, but right now I have a headache so it’s kinda hard for me NOT to make shabby fics.
Prologue: Artemis Finds a Demon
Artemis looked at his watch and started tapping his foot. Holly looked at him sideways, and Butler kept his watch pointed at the stage. Artemis was just about to get up and leave when he noticed a flicker of unusualness in the corner of his eye. Snapping back to look at the stage, he saw some type of creature—most likely an imp.
“There!” Artemis said in a hushed whisper, pointing at No. 1. Butler rushed down and grabbed the imp, then got Artemis and Holly and the trio ran into Butler’s Jeep. Closing the door, Butler started to drive off.
“Where am I?” No. 1 asked, confused.
“You’re in the human world,” Artemis said in clear Gnommish.
“You speak fairy tongue?” No. 1 seemed even more confused now. Together, Artemis and Holly explained what had happened over the years, and that the time tunnel was unraveling.
“I see.” No. 1 was quiet for a moment, then asked Holly, “Are you an elf?”
“Yes.”
“And you there, you and that big muscular guy are Mud Men?”
“We prefer the term ‘humans’, but yes,” Artemis replied.
No 1. was quiet again. Then said, “But I don’t understand. Why am I here?”
“Were you wearing silver when you got sucked into this world?” Artemis asked.
“No. Well, I was BEFORE. I slipped the silver off though, and the next second, I was in that mysterious dark place.”
Artemis sighed. “‘That mysterious dark place’ is called a ‘theater.’”
“Do they eat wolves alive for entertainment?” No. 1 asked.
“No.”
“Why don’t they?”
“Because that’s not what humans consider ‘entertainment.’”
“Really?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
Artemis sighed. It was going to take a LONG time for him to teach No. 1 all these human things.
Chapter One
Butler drove them to a café while Artemis made No. 1 wear human clothes.
“Why do I have to wear these?” he complained.
“Because you have to blend in with the crowd of humans,” Artemis replied, sighing. No. 1 asks too many questions, he thought bitterly.
“Why are we here?” No. 1 asked.
“Because we’re meeting some people,” Artemis responded.
Finally they reached the café. Butler stopped the car.
“I’ll go and get them,” Holly said, getting out and shielding. She came back in and unshielded; two new fairies unshielded with her as well. One had blonde hair falling down to her waist and green eyes. The other had black shoulder-length hair and blue eyes.
The blonde one said, “I’m Coral, she’s Irel. What do you want from us?”
Artemis replied, “I want to tell you that I’ve found the lost colony. I’ve found demons.”
“Prove it,” Irel retorted.
“Of course you wouldn’t believe me if I didn’t show you a real demon or something proving it.” Artemis smirked. No. 1 took off the hat he was wearing that covered his red and scaly body.
“Impossible,” Coral breathed.
“Actually, quite possible,” Artemis responded. “The time tunnel that this imp’s island was in is unraveling. If they didn’t wear silver, they wouldn’t be anchored to the island. No. 1 took off the bracelet made of silver he had and voila, he was here on Earth. Believe me now?”
“Yes, we believe you now. We’d like our imp back, please,” Irel said coldly.
“Your imp? No, I don’t think so,” Artemis said. “I found him, so I will make the deals.”
“Fine, just hurry it up,” Irel responded.
“I’ll give you the imp as long as you say that it was I, Artemis Fowl the II, who found him, and I, Artemis Fowl the II, who realized that the time tunnel was unraveling when you take him to Haven.”
“All right, all right!” Coral said. “Just give us the imp!”
“You can have him,” Artemis replied. “But be warned that soon the time tunnel will unravel completely, and the human world will see fairies. They’ll believe it if they can all see it with their own eyes.”
Coral and Irel took No. 1 and flew off, shielding and putting No. 1 in camfoil as they went.
“Sir, you didn’t really just give them No. 1 for free, did you?” Butler asked.
“Yes, I did. But I have a plan.” Artemis replied, smirking.

FCD Well I really like it! Although now Artemis doesn’t have anyone his own age to relate to, and that’s sad, but I still think it’s awesome!

Well, it’s a little short 4 me to do ANYTHING right now. If Minerva never existed, there’d be no reason for people NOT to ship H/A? Right?!

It’s okay. But the story sure progresses quickly, even for a FanFiction.

I kinda agree with 017350 on that one! but I like it, there isnt really a problem so maybe you could make one and make it longer, and I don’t think No.1 would ask that anyway..
Since these are stories for the contest I’m going to give more constructive critism than I usually do so you fan fix it to make it better so you may win.

I don’t get a couple things in the story. Maybe explain things a little more instead of rushing the story.
