Ron yawned. “Okay,” he mumbled sleepily. “Why are we up at two o’ clock in the morning?!”
“Because,” Harry replied through gritted teeth, “This is the time they have breakfast on this ship.”
“Seriously! Why are we even here?”
“Because…that’s a good question.”
He leaned over the railing, frowning at the sea as if it was somehow the sea’s fault.
Holly yawned. She looked at Artemis incredulously. After all that noise the bell had made, he was still asleep?!
The elf groaned. “What am I doing?” she muttered. They had arrived aboard the ship at 12:00 last night and planned to go straight to bed, but had been told the rooms had to be shared. And Foaly, being the jerk he was, had refused to share with Artemis, Mulch had refused to share with Artemis, saying, “I thought you guys are in love” and forced her to share with Artemis.
They had managed to survive one night on opposite sides of the bed without killing each other, and that was definitely a big improvement.
However, the morning seemed to be a problem. Artemis was quietly snoring his head off, seemingly deaf to anything around him.
Shaking her head, Holly slipped out of bed and walked out the door, only to bump into Foaly and Mulch afterwards.
The centaur snickered. “Well, how’d it go?”
Percy was currently bored, so he chose to play with his sword instead.
Which basically meant throwing it at everything that looked good as a target.
Unfortunately, Luke was one of the accidental targets.
Further unfortunately, it didn’t really hit him.
