Artemis droned on about something at breakfast. I looked up as he said the tabooed sentence.
“Myles sent a letter…he’s loving Harvard. He’s met a girl…how your study going Beckett?” I stared at my egg and bacon.
“Beckett? You’re awfully quiet today? What’s wrong? Your converses too tight?” He joked. I pushed back the chair; the wood scraped the tiled floor.
“Excuse me. I’m going to get dressed then go out” I said turning away from him.
The image in the mirror glared back at me. My black hair was cut brutally short. Black and white…every article of clothing was tight, black with chains and skulls. The scar that stretched from the base of my neck to the edge of my chin looked healthier than me. The pink fleshy scar looked odd against my skin…I looked like a freak. No wonder the girl had run.

I care! Dis is good story! Beckett is much more… easy to identify with then in most stories, Artemis is IC, and it is suspenseful! Very good, and I hope you can find the determination to finish it, despite the attacks of writer’s block!
