Loading ... A Ring and the Worst breakfast!Â
Holly had agreed to pretend to be engaged for the day for the sake of his poor Dad. Mr Kelp gave Trouble the ring Lili Frond would have died for. White gold, with an emerald in the middle and a star sapphire at either side. He wouldn’t tell him why he had this ring though. Holly slipped it on her finger.
When they got down down stairs they were horrified to find out what Mrs Kelp had in mind for breakfast. They all took one spoonfull and wanted to be sick! She had just used parts of the millions of turkeys she’d bought straight from the surface to make a horrible soup!
“It’s a French dish” Mrs Kelp announced to the mother of the Marashells family “Of course you’ll know that Maria”.
“French foods changed since the last time I checked” Holly thought
Maria looked at this she’d never seen it in her life but replied
“Yes I made it… yesterday”.
The boy who looked around Trouble’s age looked confused.
“No we… Ow! Mum you stamped on my foot!”
“No I didn’t” her voice so sweet it would drive any normal person mad within hours.
“Our Trouble’s getting married” Mrs Kelp said seizing hold of Holly’s left hand and showing her the amazing peice of jewellery.
Maria wanted to scream there and then. Their ring was far more impressive so she quickly announced how Lara was having a surface wedding.
“No we’re ..” Lara began before Maria silenced her by stamping on her foot.
“Yes so are they” Mrs Kelp said “Of course we will have no trouble getting the visas both of them being in the LEP and all…”
“Did I tell you we bought our lights from Paris?” Maria’s smile widening.
“The vase in the middle of the table is antique!” she snapped.
Maria sat up.
“Did I tell you we got a new painting it cost thousands of ingots”
“The ugly one?” the little boy asked unwisley.
“Kids” Maria said going pink.
“We’re going skiing we would have invited you but seen as you’ve never been to the surface it may be too much for you” Mrs Kelp said trying to use an even sweeter tone.
“O’ h I’m sure we could handle it” she said tugging on the table cloth.
Mrs Kelp tried to pull it back towards her as Maria tried to pull it away.
The result? Everyone was covered in a horrible soup.
As it landed on them Trouble looked over at Holly.
“Merry Christmas” he said

No they shouldn’t!! holly and Artemis are so different not to mention Artemis only see’s her as an ally. Gosh i H8 holly/Arty love stories. They make me sick!! (but they’re still pretty good) apart from the pairing. Eoin Colfer put a post up saying thatin the next book there was gonna be something between Holly and Trouble in a Love sorta way! YAY!! anyway thats all i have to say. TYVM
