* so all criticism is welcome enjoy reading it!!! (and do you think i should continue???) oh yeah NMEC’s (not mine eoin colfer’s)
Chapter 1: Lunch
It was a sunny day and Artemis was out in the garden busy preparing lunch on the patio, although he’d already wrecked it. This was extremely unusual A) because Artemis absolutely hated the sun and didn’t enjoy being exposed to it and B) because you wouldn’t generally find Artemis preparing any kind of food let alone a meal. But Artemis did have a reason for this, one of which must have been very important. Just then Artemis noticed a slight shimmer in the air above his right shoulder. “Good afternoon, Holly” he said politely. Holly shimmered into view. “Hi” and then she noticed the havoc on the patio table behind Artemis “Um…did i come at the wrong time” “N…” and then he caught Holly staring at the chaos on the antique table. He blushed slightly, which is also something that doesn’t happen often. “Ah w-well y-y-you see um… that well this lunch making business it’s not as easy as it looks.” stammered Artemis. Holly giggled “It seems the great Artemis Fowl isn’t as perfect as he looks.” Artemis straightened himself out and called butler, who had watched Artemis like a hawk. All due to his strange behaviour and the suspiciously long hours he’d been locked in his room, with muffled voices slipping into inaudibility so as not to be heard and the fact that Holly had been over at Fowl manor several times already over the past few months from the arrival from Hybras. And now this
“Yes, Artemis. What’s the problem?”he said with his low bass tones. “As you can see I don’t think i’ve got the hang of this quite yet, so could you help me by making the lunch?” asked Artemis. Butler almost giggled but instead he just smiled, straightened his face and answered “I was wondering when you’d say that. Oh and hello Holly” “Hi Butler!”. Butler cleared the table and left Artemis and Holly to do whatever they needed to do. He made for the kitchen to prepare Artemis and Holly’s lunch.
Once the food was set on the table Artemis and Holly began to eat. “Holly” began Artemis when Butler was out of sight and earshot “I don’t know how to put this but… I I love you.” Holly, who was finishing off the remains of her tropical smoothie, spluttered, wheezed and choked. “*cough* WHAT!!! *cough cough*” she spluttered. “I love you” muttered Artemis shuffling his feet a bit with his eyes downcast.
Meanwhile Minerva had strolled down the path to the back door as a surprise for Artemis. She came to bring him the first copy of the book she had recently written. It was about (as you can probably guess) science and the human anatomy and she wanted to check if all the facts were right. But this wasn’t the only reason. Her dad had just been invited to the most prestigeous event that was every scientists dream to attend and they were allowed to invite family members but since Beaux had gone to hospital and was still unconcious after a vein had popped somewhere near his brain, Minerva decided that she’d invite Artemis to replace Beaux. Although she knew he couldn’t really replace him. Another reason was because Minerva had longed to see Artemis again, but he had been acting so secretively, when she had asked if she could come round he just answered that he was busy. This was another reason why she came round the back door. She longed to say to Artemis “I love you” and she was sure that Artemis felt the same way. She was thinking about Artemis saying I love you when she heard him say “I love you”. Her heart raced. She turned round to see if Artemis was there and she said softly “I love you too” But she saw that Artemis wasn’t behind her, he was still in the garden. But, all the stranger was, that there was a girl beside him. She could tell as a feminie voice was spluttering “What!!!”. Then Artemis said those three fatal words.”I love you”. It was all too much. She dropped the book. It came clatttering to the ground. Running as fast as her legs could go, she said, through sobs, “Why Artemis why? Why her not me?”
Artemis heard something clatter outside. It seemed to be a book. Holly heard it because then she said “What the…” but couldn’t finish as Butler had just burst into the garden panting heavily as he had just ran down 5 sets of stairs and practically dived through several doors. These days Butler was a bit touchy and a bit overdramatic here and there but nobody knew why. “What *pant* was *gasp* that” he panted his shaven head bobbing up and down. “Butler stop doing that and I’m pretty sure it was someone who had dropped a book and a heavy one at that too.” ” I’ll check sir.” Butler left running back up the five sets of stairs and the several broken doors he had dived through and entered the security room and reviewed the tapes from the security cameras outside Fowl Manor.

i must say, this is good. i apologize for my earlier comment. a word of advice: dont eat a bowl of sugar in granual form, even for a bet.

dont worry vinyaya ur stories r really gd its probably that ur readers r so busy reading ur stories they hav no time 2 review or theyre 2 amazed by the wonderful stories u make. artemis is my man ull just hav 2 wait and c altho i think i mite hav the inciest bit of riters blok but im beggining 2 rite another story cald who stole the christmas cake???
