My entry for Wishes challenge. I’m not very good at horror, but I tried. *shrugs* Oh and I don’t know when the next full moon is, I just did this for effect. Two-shot.
A mysterious teen slunk through the halls of Fowl manor, sticking to the shadows to avoid being caught. He smirked, showing sharp fangs, as he passed by a single window on the way to his chosen location. The brilliant full moon shone brightly, looking almost orange that midnight. His raven hair shone silver with the dim rays of moonlight. He cackled inwardly, briefly wondering if his victim was awake at this odd hour of the night watching the full moon themselves.
He continued his journey, hoping the security cameras hadn’t seen him. He shuddered at the thought. His chosen blood was also a Butler, and he most certainly didn’t want to face a Butler in battle.
He sighed quietly as he steadily reached the door. He grasped the handle, hoping, praying that Butler didn’t hear his breathing. He could hear it, louder then if he had been screaming his head off, as he slowly twisted the knob. The door creaked ominously as it opened. He could practically hear the manservant on the other side spin around.
“Whoes there?” He asked automatically, a hand straying to where his Sig would normally be. The teen was behind him in a flash, smiling to show the pointed teeth once more.
The boy sighed slightly. “Do you trust me?” He asked from behind the man mountain. Butler sighed and turned around to look his charge in the eye. He had been asked that before, sevral times actually, and the end result was never good. Every instinct told him to say no, to lie, but he didn’t. Despite everything he had been through, he nodded.
Within a split second there was a pair of fangs latched to his neck. Two small drops of blood neatly streaked down to his chest and his eyelids drooped. His eyes gently glazed over as he fell to his knees, creating a miniature earthquake. His breathing became quick and shallow as he was slowly drained of blood.
He locked sightless eyes on what, or who as the case may be, was doing this. “Artemis, your a-” He started, but was soon interupted.
“Vampire, old friend,” Artemis stated, a certain miserable tone in his voice. “Vampire.”
