Prolouge: Can I Play Something On Your Piano?

Flipping through the news channels, it soon became apparent that they were only showing news of environmental problems. With a sigh, Artemis turned off the television; what was a genius to do? He was alone in the manor and didn’t know what he should do to keep himself occupied.

A knock on the door decided this for him.

“Can I help you?” he asked of the sixteen year-old girl standing on the door step.

She rolled her emerald green eyes, and put her hands on her hips, “I don’t know, can you?”

Trying not to lose his patience with her, he rephrased his question. “May I help you?”

“If you are truly the Artemis Fowl that mde contact with the People, and has helped in saving them multiple times, then yes, you can help me. Can I play something on your Piano?”
