Untimely meeting ;)
Written on February 14th, 2008 by Star JininStory Details
After Butler was reassured by Holly that Mulch was not a threat or enemy of any sort, the manservant settled down and Mulch was untied from the chair.
“Did I miss something?” Mulch frowned quizzically.
Yes, this is the first time that Mulch actually plays a somewhat important role…it’s just that he’d hard to use. I don’t use him often and when I do, he’s REALLY OOC
After twenty minuites (and countless sandwhiches) later, Mulch was reacquainted with everyone else.
“Oh yeah, Artemis” Mulch began with a mouthful of turkey in his mouth. “Here’s the disk you asked me to keep for you. I can tell you, it wasn’t easy escaping the sub”, he muttered, ever the martyr.
“Disk?” Artemis was puzzled.
“Well, yeah,” Mulch rolled his eyes. “So you didn’t think you left yourself anything behind to trigger your memories?” Mulch sniggered before handing Artemis the disk. Artemis took it cautiously.
“We’ll erm…give you a little privacy” Holly grinned. “After all the gold the council puts in Foaly’s budget, he still can’t prevent one mud boy from regaining his memories. Not that I’m complaining” Holly strided out of the room as Butler went to examine his file and Mulch headed towards the kitchen. Artemis just stared at the small disk, lost in a reverie.
Artemis hesitated for a moment, then popped the disk into a laptop as curiosity took control of him.
A hour passed and sparks in Artemis’s brain connected in place. He had remembered everything.
BOOM.
Artemis, Butler, Mulch, and Holly rushed back to the entryway. The front door was blasted open and billowing smoke came swirling out.
“They’re trying to blast their way in!” Holly screeched. “it’ll only be a matter of minutes before they send in a bio bomb!” Artemis mused, “Could we get some sort of connection to Foaly?”
“I don’t think they’d really listen to four supposed fugitives”
Artemis turned to Mulch. “As much as I’d rather not say it…”
Mulch smirked. “What’s wrong, Mud Boy? Afraid of getting your hands dirty?”
Holly’s face reddened. “You’re not suggesting…that we tunnel out here?”
Artemis nodded and tried not to think too much about the smell of Mulch’s recyclings. But Opal Koboi had to be stopped. Permenantly.

I’m entering this in the Elseworlds Contest for you, may I just ask what your “What If” Question is? It’ll help me judge it.

Love it once again! The only thing is, at the beginning of chapter 5 there’s the start of a sentence but it doesn’t finish. Just thought you should know that.
