Loading ...Artemis Fowl was taking a day of from being a genius. It was Italy, hot, and crowded and he couldn’t concentrate. The problem was not some calculation he couldn’t complete or some equation he could not finish, it was Holly. Artemis couldn’t stop thinking about her, and in a most un-friend like way. Almost a, no, maybe?, a romantic way? Most of all he longed to see her and her smile and just talk to her as he hadn’t done in ages. He decided to call her.
” Artemis?” said Holly Short.
” Yes I was wondering if you would grace me with your presence at dinner tonight. I have something I wish to discuss with you.”
” Ok.”
” What just like that? No, I have a million better things to do, this is not the best time you are not my priority?”
” Nope. I’ll come. Where shall we meet Arty?”
” Outside the collaseum. Ok? See you-”
” Artemis?”
” Yes?”
” You let me call you Arty!”
” I know.” Then the line went dead.
Bemused, Artemis got up. He had been sure that holly would refuse his offer. Once when invited to the surface she had spent 10 minutes lecturing him on not bothering her, and then told him it was a foul idea anyway.
Oh well, not so fowl anymore! thought artemis smiling at his own joke.

Magnificent! Best romance story ever. I love the tragedy of Trouble dying, and then you created Ivy to bring him and Root back to life. I love how you brought Opal Koboi into the story, and how you made Ivy die in the end. A few grammar issues here and there, but nothing worse than a couple missing letters. If you haven’t already, I would enter this in the Holiday Fanfiction Contest. A five star story!

Sorta, to quick as in events happen without warning and they come one after another, but it was good.
