Holly and Ivy spun into the night and found themselves next to Trouble, Artemis, and Foaly in the grounds of Fowl manor. Holly fell out of the window and ivy obsorbed in trouble’s soul as he healed Holly.

” Now Holly, I am going to be overcome by you and Trouble and Root’s souls when I obsorb you so we have to say goodbye.”

” But I have only just got you back! You can’t just die now!”

” Holly I have been alive for a long time now waiting to die. I am not afraid. I am very tired and am ready to die. You have lived without me for years, you will be ok. You are strong.”

Ivy led Holly towards the house and hugged her very tightly. I love you Holly. ”

” Ivy…”

” My baby sister. I’m proud of you.”

” I love you too Ivy!”

Then Ivy breathed in the Holly (who was still fighting an evil Opal Koboi) ’s soul. Ivy turned to Holly and then everything went blank.

Holly stood up. She was alive. She walked up the staircase and fond Opal Koboi’s body lying there. She walked out onto the grounds and found Trouble lying there. She walked over to him and to her surprise found him breathing. ” So it wan’t a dream.” she said smiling. Then she remembered something. If Trouble was alive then that must mean…

” Captian Short? Would you like to tell me what the hell is going on?”

 Holly turned slowly. Then she ran full speed at her commander, very nearly knocking him flying. The commander was stiff for a moment then returned her hug.

” Commander I have so much to tell you!!! Trouble was made commander and he’s alive! We are engaged!”

Then she ran back to him and shook him awake. ” Trouble! Trouble I have someone to see you.”

” Holly? Where am I… Commander? Then he jumped up just as Holly had done and hugged Root. But you are dead! How?…”

” Yes I was wondering that myself too actually.” He said looking at Holly.

Holly sighed. This could take a while. Better find Artemis and then I can tell them all together what happened.

They walked back towards Fowl Manor and into the main hall. Artemis Fowl was waiting for them, sitting meditating on the bottom step. Butler appeared in the doorway back from his holiday in france, and nearly fainted.” Julius!” Then they strode towards each other shaking hands and talking together as if they had never been apart. Artemis didn’t even open his eyes during this time, so Holly and Trouble decided they should leave the two old soldiers to talk.

Holly took Trouble through into a large room beautifully decorated. ” Beautiful.” said Trouble looking at Holly.

” Perfect.” she said looking at Trouble. They both smiled. He kissed her.
