Hi! This is based on the TV show, The Bachelorette! Except with Holly. It’ll be kinda cheesy.

Holly picked up her mail on her way to Section Eight. Bills, bills, bills, bills, junk mail, and a letter from the TV network Fairy Digital. She finished her walk to Section Eight, and opened the bills, using her paycheck to pay them. She opened the junk mail. Church. Holly wasn’t a member of any church. Now for the TV show. She ripped the envelope open. She read:

“Congratulations, Holly Short!
You have been chosen as this year’s Fairy Bachelorette! You have absolutely no choice in this matter! Below is a list of your bachelors!
Chix Verbil!
Grub Kelp!
Trouble Kelp!
Artemis Fowl!
Doohdah Day!
Mulch Diggums!
Julius Root!
Turnball Root!
Show up at the TV station in downtown Haven at 4:30 on Saturday to meet your bachelors in person! Bring enough clothes for a month, and all the provisions that you’ll need for your day-to-day life! I also suggest a few evening dresses for dates! Your location will be a deserted island in Hawaii!”

Holly sat heavily in her chair. She was the next Fairy Bachelorette? Didn’t you need to be nominated to be in that show? That meant…

“FOALY!” she shouted. Foaly poked his head through the door.

“Yes, Holly?” he said innocently. She tossed the letter in his general direction. He snickered.

“I didn’t think they’d actually pick you.” Holly reached for her Nuetrino, and Foaly hurriedly withdrew. Holly was the next Fairy Bachelorette. Artemis was one of her bachelors? How in the world did they get in contact with Artemis? Turnball? Wasn’t he serving four consecutive life sentences in Howler’s Peak? This day wasn’t turning out well.

The first thing she did was call the TV station. She had no choice in the matter.

“Well, what if I don’t show up?” she asked. The manager had laughed at her.

“We know where you live.” he laughed again, and hung up. That was a scary thought. Holly reached for her Nuetrino, and angrily shot one through the plasma door. Trouble poked his head in.

“Holly, you almost hit me with that ray. Something wrong?” she nodded. Trouble asked.

“Foaly nominated me for The Fairy Bachelorette. You’re one of the bachelors.” Trouble had been laughing up until now. When he heard that he was a bachelor, he stopped.

“What!?”

“We have no choice in the matter. I suppose you’ll probably have a letter in your mailbox.” Trouble left. Holly work day dragged on and on. When she left, she didn’t say a word to Trouble.

Artemis had called four times when she checked her phone.

“How can I be one of the bachelors? That cannot be possible. Fairies can’t marry humans, can they? I wouldn’t anyway.”

“Then I just won’t give you the rose.” she said angrily. She had then proceeded to slam the phone down. It wasn’t like Holly wanted to marry Artemis. She was surprised at his behavior. She had never known him to act out like that. It was Thursday. She had two days to figure out what to do.

“Maybe,” she thought, “I’ll go along with this.” It would be rather interesting to see what would happen. She knew she couldn’t possibly find the person who was meant for her on a television show, but…
