Okay, I’m almost done reading “Arctic Incident”, but this isn’t just a post containing that book. I just used the title, ’tis all. Okay, fasten up your seatbelts, because I have a idea how this fiction’s going to go. Muahahahahahahhaaa *chokechoke* Anyways, fasten your seatbelts. Chapter One: The Incident

The Middle of the Arctic 

Holly was on a mission. She grabbed a icicle and swung herself from it, doing a midair cartwheel as fast as she could. The trolls dodged her; that was what she was hoping for. But one thing happened that wasn’t good.

A icicle loosened itself and crashed down upon Holly’s legs.

Holly groaned as her vision flickered in and out of focus. Troll tongues were going around here. The entire world was blurry.

“I failed,” was all Holly managed to say. Her eyes closed.

Hospital Room 303

“Commander,” whispered a voice. “Commander, is Captain Short okay?”

“Chix, just leave. You’re putting a burden on the leading commander of the LEP, Julius Root!”

“Fine,” Chix’s voice said, “but she might be happy to see us.”

Holly’s eyes slowly opened.

“See? I told you so!” Chix said. “My voice has awoken thy gentle lady,” he added proudly.

“Chix…” Holly sat up. “GET OUT OF MY ROOM!”

“Eek!” Chix exclaimed as Holly aimed a punch at him and missed barely. He made a mad dash for the door. But not before Holly grabbed a LEP-material gun and shot it at Chix: It hit his fairy behind and sent a electic shock all over him.

“You seem to have recovered quickly,” Root said sarcastically.

“How long have I been in the hospital?” Holly asked weakly.

“Five hours.”

“F-FIVE HOURS?!” Holly screamed. “Is the mission completed? Did I fail? Who did the mission? How did I get here? I thought I was dead!”

“Calm down, Holly. Yes, five hours. The mission was halfway done by someone else. You did not fail because you got injured which doesn’t make it count. I ‘did the mission’, I rescued you, and you’re not dead.”

“Whew.” Holly collapsed on the hospital bed. The talking and shooting Chix with a five-pound weapon put stress on her.

“Captain Short, are you sure you’re okay?” Root asked.

“I’m fine,” Holly lied. She felt a lot of pressure on her legs.

“You need sleep,” Root said, standing up. “I’m going to patrol outside inside of the hospital.” He looked at Chix and added, “That dude better get a hospital room too. You sent a level five shock onto him.”

“I didn’t bother changing it to level three,” Holly said. “I mean, Chix owed me. After all, didn’t I save his life when the goblins ambushed us? I do wonder who’s behind the troll scheme though. Opal Koboi broken out of prison?”

“Yeah, she broke out of prison. It’s probably her, trying to avenge her and Cudgeon’s loss.”

“Geez. What a troublesome fairy.”

“It’s true,” Root admitted. “We nearly lost last time. I don’t intend to lose this time aswell.”

“Now you know not to use Koboi Labs’ productions,” Holly responded, “except wasn’t Koboi Labs shut down?”

“Yes. We’re only going to trust Foaly’s inventions now, though.”

“And we’re down-right right to do that, too,” Holly insisted, “because Foaly helps us, he works for us, and isn’t he the one that Opal Koboi blamed the first time?”

“Yes, he is. I should give that centuar a pay-raise,” Root mumbled.

“Good luck with that,” Holly said, falling asleep.
