Second strike.
Trouble was telling Holly all about how his father was in the LEP. He was so proud, he also wanted to be in the LEP.
“Me too.” Holly replied.
“You’re a .. a girl!” he said -he was knocked off his feet and his nose was bleeding seconds later.
“So? I can be in the LEP can’t I? Why not? I’m just as strong as you.”
The recent events made arguing against this tough.
“Besides it’s easier than under cover work. That’s what my Dad did.”
“For the LEP?” he gushed “Your father was Alex Short!”
“Yep, he was my mother’s name was..”
“I still can’t believe..” then he remembered the latest news about Alex. “Sorry Holly. Hey why are you called Holly?”
“I don’t know. Trouble, well that explains it’s self doesn’t it?”
He threw a pillow at her in retaliation but it missed and she raised an eyebrow, universal language for- O’ h come on!
He heard the letter box being opened he looked out the window to see a girl walking back across the street. He went to get it.
“Holly’s weird.” he thought “Cool and definitely pretty but weird.”
Holly’s POV
“He’s OK…. He seemed shy at first and a typical boy sometimes but he’s OK.” she thought.
Trouble came back in holding a bit of paper.
“It’s an invite.” he told me “To go to tea at the Marshells. Hey there the people who just moved in right?”
“Yeah.”
Holly never got a chance to finish her sentence when Ilene grabbed the invite studying it.
“RIGHT! We need to get everything ready for tomorrow!” she exclaimed.
“Mum we’ve to go there.” her son said.
“Don’t be silly!” she said grabbing him by the ear for a minute “We need to be prepared- Holly we are going to buy you a dress.”
“I’m not really a dress person.” Holly said casually
She grabbed her by the ear and into the shuttle- Trouble followed.
“This is my second chance at a first impression!” Ilene squealed “So it will be PERFECT! I‘ll find a dress in no time, I was a personal shopper! I have the best kept house in Roseville! Not Maria Marshell!”

The next day Holly felt like running and never stopping. This lunch was going ahead.
The Kelp’s older son was talking to her a lot about sport.
“Richards is the best player EVER!” Holly replied.
“Ha! Kean would beat him any day.”
“Shame he never seems to win anything…. You sound like a Hawks fan!” she said.
“I am!” he replied.
“I support Jets, always have always will. Richards is the best!” she said throwing a bit of paper at him.
“No, Kean is.” Trouble replied accidentally putting his hand down to hard hitting the remote which controlled several pieces of equipment (WHY his mother needed this, he didn’t know). It set off the blender throwing everything in it all over the kitchen. Trouble’s dad came in telling them
“You better get that cleaned before your mother…” it was too late Ilene had saw it.
“TROUBLE! I have enough to deal with sweetie so clean it up now OK? NOW!”
His parents left and they both grabbed a cloth.
“Sweetie?” Holly asked grinning as he went from pink to red in embarrassment.
“Son your going as red as old Beetroot- my boss. Here I’ll help.”
At this point Holly decided she preferred his Dad to his mother. At least he wasn’t making her wear a dress like Ilene.
