Flying

Holly’s heart fluttered and so did her wings, carrying her even higher into the night sky.  Tonight, though, it was not the stars that Holly sought.  She only wanted to be seen, to be noticed.  Not by humans in general, one would do.  But no matter how high Holly flew, no matter how much she achieved, it would never be enough.

Looking down, she saw the red of car lights, the yellow of inside lights, and in some places, the blue glow associated with electronics.  She wondered if he was in one of those locations, up late on his computer, but she couldn’t bring herself to look.  That would be too creepy, following him around like she longed to do.  She would be shunned by her kind.  It would almost be worth it, to be able to spend a lifetime in his arms.  She would give up her magic for him, she would give up her life for him, if only he asked.  But she knew he never would.

The knowledge of this stung Holly worst than the ice crystals in the clouds as they rushed up to meet her, but Holly ignored her emotions and concentrated instead on the ice scratching her face, the cold wind numbing her ears and nose.  She was higher than she’d ever been before, and still it was not enough.  Holly opened the throttle on her wings all the way and kept flying upwards, not to seek or prove anything, but instead just to get away.

    FCD* OMG sad! They’re in love!!!! :) anyway I really liked it. They really seemed like their characters, which is very hard to do. Are you going to continue? That would be awesome! Oh and only catagorize it into one catagory.

    I don’t love it. I’m not a huge fan of A/H ships. It just seems wrong. I like the format. Good job!
