And…..send. Right that’s me replied to Artemis. I walk into the living room there’s a pile of presents and letters.

“Happy Birthday Danel!” shouts my little brother the only person to call me that.

I got the same greeting from my parents (except the name they called me changed).

I look straight at the mail for I’ve waited all my life for this and nothing could compare to this.

Pink envolope, Lilac. Pink, Blue,Silver,Silver ,WHITE!

At the back there’s the acadmey’s crest as I open it my parents are shaking, I’m shaking for I long for this. Just two sentences! I read it

Dear Miss Kelp,

After reading your impressive application we have no doubt you could be sucessful in a number of areas. Therefore your application to The LEP acadmey has been accepted.

I don’t bother with the rest

“I got in!” I yell.

My mum runs up and hugs me followed by my dad. Josh couldn’t help but have his joke at me

“YES! Right when can she leave?” he said “No really well done!”

“Ha ha and I leave next month .” I say

The letter seems like a ticket to a land of adventure. The rest of the morning is a blur except my mum saying

“I’m so proud of you Kells….I love you” she says.

I ‘ve waited my whole life for this and now….

I feel gulity remembering a story my mum’s brother told me…

“I got in!” said Holly

“Yes! I knew you could do it no one can tell my sister what she can and can’t do….except me” said Derek

“Bet you’ll be great!” said Phill her other brother “Do us proud”

“I love you Holls,” said Aries her only sister who was 20 years younger than her. Aries was like Holly in many ways she craved excitment, she was brave and loyal. Aries had blue eyes and curly hair. Like Phill. Like their mother.

Just at that Violet came in. She didn’t get on with Derek and Phill because of the boys loyalty to their father.

She hated Holly. Not only was the girl loyal to her father (Violet’s ex husband who died) but she was a tom boy who wouldn’t settle just to be married with children.

Aries. From the moment of the girl’s birth there were problems. Her name meant angel in Spanish but the girl was a rebel. She looked angelic but was like Holly and proud of it.

“What the hell is going on? ” she demanded

“Holly…” began Aries before Phill covered her mouth.

“Holly what is it? Tell me NOW!” said Violet

“I got excepted into the LEP” said Holly unwilling to hide it “I think my dad would have…”

Phill winced he knew what would come next ….a blazing row!

“You….YOU! How could you? Your a girl! And please don’t speak of him”

“My father was a hero and I will not forget him for an old witch or anyone else” screamed Holly

There was an argument. Holly left home that night. She never saw Phill, Derek or Aries for years.

Poor Holly ….O’h Frond I better get to school!
