Artemis wiped his brow with a hankerchief. It was sweltering hot outside and the air conditioner was broken. Artemis did not do well in heat. The last time he’d been this hot, was over two years ago in Ho Chi Minh city.
Artemis got up and picked up his fairy communicator from the shelf.
“Artemis?” Holly’s voice came through the ring. It sounded tired and irratible.
“Holly, it is extremely hot today. The core isn’t overheating and the magma flares aren’t due for weeks. What is happening?”
“No idea mud-boy, It’s awful down here. Foaly has no clue what to do, everyone is trying to figure it out but we have no results. It’s 80 degrees celsius here. What about in Ireland? How hot is it?”
Artemis checked the thermometer.
” At lease 30 degrees.”
Holly sighed. A rush of static came on the phone.
“I’m coming up Artemis, see you at Tara.”
The line went dead.
Artemis sighed. Outside. He’d have to go outside to meet Holly. In the even hotter air. This was going to be awful.

“Artemis steepled his fingers and frowned. He did not like unexplainable problems, all he needed now was for the heat to get more intense and he’d be on the verge of madness.”
I found that paragraph to be slightly over-the-top, but very true to character.
Keep thinking it through–you’ll figure out where you’re going eventually.
