Holly glanced up. There was nothing like the real sky. Holly looked at the light strips up above her. And THAT is nothing like the real sky.

How could the people move underground? How? When above ground it was so beautiful, that is until the mud people poured chemicals into the atmosphere. And you wonder why there is global warming.

She walked through the streets of Haven, stopping off at Spud’s Spud Emporium for a milkshake. Even living near the earth’s core, it was scorching. A lot hotter than normal.

She jogged to Police Plaza pausing only to fish out her badge to show the scanner. Once through, she headed for Ops where Foaly was waiting for her,

“Hey Holly.”

“Foaly, why is it so hot? Im boiling.”

“I dunno Holly,no magma flares for another 2 weeks, the core is at normal temperature, and it isn’t global warming, not a huge factory either.  I have no idea.” replied Foaly, turning round on his specialy modified swivel chair to face her. Confusion was etched into his features. Holy knew why, Foaly didn’t like not knowing what was happening.

  1. Opal Koboi Says:

sorry it’s so short but it will be updated when my writer’s block stops

  2. DomovoiBlack Says:

“Artemis steepled his fingers and frowned. He did not like unexplainable problems, all he needed now was for the heat to get more intense and he’d be on the verge of madness.”

I found that paragraph to be slightly over-the-top, but very true to character. :)

Keep thinking it through–you’ll figure out where you’re going eventually.
