“Ow.” Holly said laughing before she punched her Dad back.
“I would prefer you taught our daughter how NOT to get into a fight in the first place.” Holly’s mother said to her.
“C’mon Mum… it’s only…” Holly began.
“ENOUGH! Bed Holly, OK?” her mother snapped.
“It’s only 8 Hazel, you can’t be serious she’s 60.” her father tried to argue.
“Holly get up stairs this instant!” she yelled at her. Holly heard her Dad leave, she wished she could stay with him.

Holly lay on her bed throwing the cruchball off the wall and letting it bounce back to her. Why was her mum so against her having any fun? Her phone started ringing.
“Holly if that’s Touble Kelp you don’t even think about answering it!” her mother called.
“It’s.. Lili Frond.” she lied and her mother shut up- Lili was the kind of girl she wanted her daughter to be friends with and not Trouble- he was like Holly.
“Hey Trouble.” she answered.
“What took you so long?” he asked.
“I’m at my mum’s not my Dad’s idiot- what do you think?” she snapped.
“Hey calm down Hazel. Anyway meet me round at my house.”
“DON’T CALL ME THAT! I’m not like my mum, anyway I can’t you know she doesn’t even let me train when I’m staying at hers.” she sighed- yeah staying with her Dad in Haven would be much better than here.
“I thought you wanted to be in the LEP? I thought you hated always doing exactly as she told you?”
“Fine I’ll be there.” she said before she threw the phone away.
“Maybe I shouldn’t…” she thought before she remembered her mother screaming her name.
“Holly, are you listening? Holly you know you haven’t a chance of getting into the LEP, Holly behave, your only a little girl, you’re so like you Dad! HOLLY! HOLLY!”
That’s all she ever said! Holly shoved on the dirty old trainners she wore for crunchball. She opened her window before she jumped out onto the shed roof and climbed down the ladder when she got to the ground it clattered behind her.
“Holly Short- what have you done?” she heard her mother storm upstairs. She ran opened the back gate, not feeling a pang of guilt. She ran threw street after street. They all looked identical so borning.
“What do you expect it is the suburbs?” Holly thought before she got to Trouble’s street. She didn’t knock she’d been at the messy house a million times before. She’d even met all of his seven siblings. She went in.
“What’s kept you Short?” Trouble asked.
“Nothing! Now why did you want me to come over?” she asked.
“Y’ know my Dad’s in the LEP right? Well said he was gonna take me to the surface- want to come?”
“YOU BET!” she said in a way typical of Lili Frond.

“Holly?” her mother called “You better have your room tided!”
She never answered. She went upstairs.
“Holly Annabella Short..” she said before she opened the door.
“Holly? Holly?” she said going around her room in a blind panic “Holly? Holls? Holly Darling?”
She looked out of the window- she saw the ladder. She wasn’t stupid, she was no longer worried but she was furious.
“HOLLY!”
She went downstairs and knew where she’d be. She was going to make sure her daughter learned her lesson this time.
AN: I’ll update soon, I don’t anything except Hazel Short and Holly’s Dad.
