Hate was siting at her lunch table looking at the guys . ” Cute arn’t they?” a voice asked . Hate spun around to see her body guard. ” Could you love any of them Hate?” She asked. Hate turned around and sighed. She hated it when Martha gave her advice.

” Would you let me?” She countered. Martha grunted . ” Not unless he was evil.” Martha smiled. she knew Hatel couldn’t love any of them.

” Hey who’s that?” She said . Hate follewed her gaze and saw Fowl. Hate hated Fowl or so she thought.She hated his smile that taunted her when ever she showed emotion like it was a crime! and was probaly the only person he liked.

” Jerk -Off of the century.” Hate said. Fowl took note of us looking at him and smiled his vampire smile. Hate flicked him a bird and he chuckeled slightly at her anger. ” Rude Annoying Spoiled Heartless Selfish Rich Cute Smart…..” Hate stoped her rant cuz she felt someone breathing down her neck. She smiled, no smerked , over at fowl. Turning aroud she came face to face with Butler. Hate had always thought of Butler as some kind of sea-urcaned the way he was always with Artemis.

” Care to finish that Rant missy?” He asked a cangerous glint in his eyes. Hate felt a sudden boldness and acted on impulse.

” Yes you stupid sea-urcaned! Artemis is a slees ball if i ever saw one!” Hates voice was rising and she stood and was screaming every word shaking with anger at Theis massive man. ” Here let me give you a complet list of how i feel about your Presous Artemis:

Pigheaded,cow dung, street slime, snob of the centery, jerk-off, over-confadent, bossy, abc gum, pig dropings, window grime, molded cheese, sour milk, arrogant, pompas little brat!

And if you werent’t at his side day and night he would arealdy have a shiner or 2!” She roarded outraged and breathless.

” Now that’s over and I know how you thik of me , came with me.” He stated calmly. Hate was even more pissed at him now!

” And what if I say I’m not going anywere with you dispaicable scum!” Hate was so buzzy lookingat him she didn’t noteice Martha leaving or Butler coming up behind her . Artemis shrugged. Butler bent down and grabed Hate’s shoulder. Hate reacted instintivly she turned willingly grabed his sholders and kneed him right in the wrong tables. Butler collapsed , more from shock then pain. Hate had her chance and she took it she stepped tward Artemis and let one fly.

Hate was pinning Artemis down with her knees when she was lifted of him and slung over a massive shoulder of butler. By this time Artemis’s nose was bleeding and his eyes were watering.

Hate was struggling to kick butler again but he kept her suspened.Artemsi whiped his nose on his sleeve and stood.

” Took you time getting up !” He said scornfully to butler. Butler shrugged and began his decent tothe Bentaly , Artemis in his wake. Butler sloppled placed the shreeking Hate on her butt in the car. Artemis filed in after her.

” Were we going ?” Hate demaned . Artemis grinned a mistevous grin.

” Secret and you have to wear a blind fold. No peeking!” He said impishly. Hate stoped and looked puzzeled and then complied suspisous and Artemis turned her around and tyed the clothe he had produced. Hate sat back and waited. Artemis stuck his tounge out at her then began to stair like a love sick puppy.

NO I”M NOT A LOVE SICK PUPPY! Artemis thought and tore his gaze away from her.He thought about how supprized she would be when we got there. A smug smile flashed across his face.

Artemis had just kiddnapped Hate Mc’ Donaled and she even let him put on the blind fold!

Later on hate was sitting wondering were they were headed. About thirty minutes later the car slowed. Hate looked around thought it was pointless because she was wearing a blind fold.Artemsi smiled and touched her arm turning her gentaly in the right direction.The car stoped and hate heard the door open and she looked around hopelessly Artemis chuckeled at her blind feelings. Hate shrugged and sat back. Hate was lpulled toward the door she stopped at the door placing her foot out . Hate stumbeled right into Artemis who promptly fell down , Hate landing on top of him. Hate pulled up her blind fold confuzed and was greeted by the sight of Artemis under her . Artemis was fully aware of the girl in his arms he grined at her slippig his arms around her and leaning her face forward .

” Artemis? Are you o.k.?” Butler walked around the car to see Artemis preparng to kiss Hate . ” nevermind!” He said turning around . But his efferts were lost because the moment was over.

” Well could you get up?” Artemsi asked pulling his cold voice over his true emotions of disapointment and anger.HAte nodded and stood pulling her blind fold off the rest of the way.

The site that meet Hate’s eyes made her jaw drop like a fifty pound hammer.Artemsi grined and butler had to stiffen his giggels at the site of Hate’s face.

” Your kidding?” Hate asked Artemis .” Dairy Queen!”

” Hate get your butt of the sidwalk!” Martha’s voice said . Hate shook her head.

” ARe you my mother ? Tell me if I’m rwrong but aren’t you a hired hand?? Doesn’t Father supply your pay check?? You can’t tell me what to do yu stupid B**** !” Hate said her voice shaking with rage. Hate shut her eyes and counted to ten. When she opened them again Artemis was on the ground next to Hate with the most shockigngly blue eyes Hate has ever seen.

” Hate come on it’s my treat !” Arteis looked at her and she saw longing and hope that she would come. Hate sighed heavaly and stood . Artemis stood and held out his arm for Hate to take ! Hate snorted the lest lady like thing possiable and walked by him slaming her shoulder into him on the way.

Artemis rubbed his shoulder and smiled . Traling after her into Dairy Queen. When Artemis entered he saw Hate looking at the meun. Hate sighed and marched over to Artemis .

” I forgot my walet at school in my locker. I can’t pay for anyhing.” Hate told him clearly hoping he’d her home. Artemis relized waht she was doing and pulled out his walet.

Funny I always thought his walet would be buliging over with cash. Hate thought . Artemis seemed to read her mind.

” Debit Card.” He said smiling as Hate’s face fell with disapointment at the fact she couldn’t go home. ” Don’t worry I’ll take you home soon.” Artemis was very careful with this wording.

About fifteen minutes later Artemis and Hate were sitting in a booth in the corner chating over a blizard. ( ONLY ONE BLIZARD ARTEMIS DIDN’T GET ONE) They lalked for a long tiem about why they thought Mr. Bowen had given them so much homework and why Hate thought the theory of global warming was complete trash. Hates bilzard was mostly melted when they decided it was time to leave. Well they didn’t decided the manager came out and told them to leave.

” Want a sip before i throw it away?” Hate asked extendign a melted Blizard tward Artemis. He shrugged and took the meted treat sipping it slightly.Artemis’s eyes bugged.

” THAT’S DELIOUS LETS GO GET SOME TO TAKE HOME WITH US! ” Artemis screamed and ran over to the counter buying 17 before leaving .

Later on in the bentaly with 16 of 17 gone Artemis was talking none stop to Hate babbling like a mother hen.

” You know some thing …..” Artmeis was relitively calm.” Your the most pretty thing in our school and i like you!” He stated . Hate’s jaw droped again and she was struck speechless

Hate renched herself from her mind to find Artmeis looking at her in his normal calm .

I…I I like you and was sugar high but I should have controled what.” Artemis was saying but ws cut short by Hate’s lips pressed gentaly againt his cheek.” what I ” He gasped tryign to not think about her closeness and her skin on him or her hands that had just noted in his hair.” I…” He gave up it was know use he couldn’t fight it any longer.

Slowly and akwordly Artemis slid his hands around Hates waist pulling her closer to him.Hate placed her cheek against Artemis’ . He moved her face to his and kissed her . Long and slow and careful .

Hate had know idea what she was doign kissing Artemis Fowl the very man this mornig she had insulted in front of everyone at school.Hate felt Artmeis’s lips part under hers and she pulled away to look at him .His amazing blue eyes were shut and his perfictly combed hair was a mess from hate’s fingers in it. But he looked totaly content with his eyes closed . Hate shifted to sit next to him she layed her head down and his thin shoulder to rest . She heard his heart beat at her closeness and fel asleep listening to the frantick beating of Artemsi Fowl’s Heart.

Hate awoke with a start jumping up in her seat. It took her a minute to relize where she was. When she relized the hugeness of what she did hit her like a sack of potatos!

” Oh crud ! Where am I?” She moaned through her teeth. She heard a chuckle or mabey it wa thunder Hate couldnt tell witch. ” Hello?” She asked strechin out like cat.The chuckle thundered again.

This time hate lost her short fused temper. ” All right this ain’t funny so show yourself or else1″ She said braver than she felt. THe chuckel thundered once more a wholehearted laugh this lime .

” Your in soem position ot make treats when you don’t ven relize were yoiu are Hate!” THe voice replied after the laughter died away.

Oh it’s just Butler. THis is still not helping me figure aout where I am! She thought grumpaliy. Suddenly the lights flicked on.Hate looked around blinking. in one correr of the roo was an armchair and a bed about her size with someone in it. A desk sat across from were Hate was sitting on a cot. Hate stood and walked over t the bed . Courosity got the batter of her she carefully pulled back the sheets.

” What time is it ? MOther not now i had a long day yesterday can i sleep in please?” THe voice of Artemis Fowl II whinned half aleep . Hate giggled and Artmeis opened one eye.

Artemsi suddenly felt bold and grabed Hate’s waist pulling her on top of him .

” Well your not Mother and I could get use to waking up to this.” He said softly. Unfortuneatly Hate Mc’donald is not a morning person and the fact that Artemis had just drage her across him didn’t make her t happy . And Hate beign Hate slapped him . she truggeled to leave his grip.But Artemis would ot let go. In fact Artemis became angry.” Now stop moving and don’t slap me you are a guest here but don’t push the statous Queo ( i know i can’t spell!) ” He said his voice shaking with his uncontrlaed rage.

And We al know Hate this didn’t make her happy either. ” ARTEMIS FOWL DON’T YOU THREATEN ME AND YOU WERE SUSPOSED TO TAKE ME HOME ANY WAY!” She said , well screamd-said. THey lay there for sevral monents glaring at each other . Both glares would have been deadly if looks could kill. Suddenly and in unison the anger melted away like ice cream in the desert.

” I’m sory .” Artemis wispered. Hate didn’t get the chance to say if he was forgiven or not because Artemis kissed her full on the mouth.They lay locked a the mouth for sevral minets . but were interrupted by someone coming up th stairs. ” we must get ready for school.” Artemis said his voice ringing with dissapointment.

” I dont’ have a change of uniform.” Hate said clearly not wanting to leave Artmsi’s arms. Artemsi chuckeled.

” When will you learn that I think of everything.” He siad a hint of laughter in his voice. ” Butler.” Artemsi called not letting hate leave his arms even thought Butler was coming in.

Butler stepped out of what looke like a closet to Hate and had a new girls uniform slung over his shoulder. He walked over to Hate’s cot and deposited the outfit on the cot and left with out speaking back throught the ” closet” .

” I’m not cangeing with you in here so go out.” Hate said worming her way out of his grip. Artemis looked diguruntale at being to ld to leave his own room but quickly reganed his composare.

” You mean I don’t get to watch?” He said in fanned shock and dissapointment. Hate shook her head pointing twards the door.

Hate McDonald walked throught school like she was flaoting. She floatd right to her locker witch on the door was a navy blue paper.hate sighed and pulled it out excpting it to be form Artemis.

Hate we’ve been watching you. we know that you and Artemis fowl are toghther. we know that you have dreams about us. we know about the PEOPLE you see in your dreams. Bare with me now, he’s real. Yes you think it was just a dream but i’mtelling you J.R. is real and he wants to tal to you. You are not to tell Artemis . you are not to scream. you are to leave the lunchroom early and go to your locker in it is a bottle of red liquid drink it .

hate almost fainted he was real but that meant …. oh no … Artemis ! Hate sunk to the ground read the letter again and distantaly heard a bell ring.She was goining to skip untill luch when she could see Artemis the she would know.

Time seemed to drag on forver to Hate who was couped up in a bathroom stall.finally the lunch beel rang. Hate listened hardbut heard no one come in the restroom so she unlached the handel and looked out. on the mirror in big red letters was the words

Very Funny Hate Like I Can’t See You!

Hate cussed several times under her breath. ” Ass Hole you know I really don’t like you tailing me everywhere and I;ll tell Artemis whatever I want!” SHe said apperantily talking to thin air. Hate walked out and headed for the lunch room. Artemis was waiting for her outside looking worried.He smiled at her and held his arm out for her.

” When are YOU going to learn ??? I’ll sit with you but I’m not taking your arm!” She said and pushed past him into the lunch room. Everyone grew deadly silent because Artemis had reached out and grabbed Harte’s shoulder. Hate looked at the pale hand on her shoulder.

raising her left eyebrow ever so slightly she turned to look at him.

” Ummm… ummmm … I was just wondering if you’d like to sit with me?” Artemis asked his col slipping a little. Hate smiled and grabbed Artemis’s hand leading him in full view of everyone to a table for two.

Cheers erupted from the silent crowd. They all said congrats to Artemis and he lushed more every time. Hate couldn’t help but notice how cute this was.

” Hey Artemis have you ever had that dream where you heard a voice kind sometimes ans yelling it’s head off the rest of the time?” Hate asked causally sipping on a coke. Artemis was susprized but hid it well.

” I think so i can’t rember what i dream.” He said and that told Hate the subject was closed. Hate decided to leave now.

” Hey I got to go!” Hate stood up grabbed her pack and fled from the lunch room. Sure enough as he’s said there was the bottle in her locker. She wondered hoe he’d gotten the combantion. She have to change it later.as soon as she swalowed the word swam before her eyes. her last thought before passing out were:

Hate woke and the first thing she was aware of was her pounding head. She moaned and rolled over… right on to a hard floor. Hate flailed wildly having no idea what was going on. Relizing nothing was attacking her she stopped and sat up.

That’s when she saw a little man sitting on a stool looking at her. Hate got up and threw her covers on the ground walking over to him. she noted he was sleeping and she noted who he was too.Hate inhaled sharply asshe realized what the apperince of him mean’t.

Hate sank to the floor next to G.K.’s chair trying to grasp th concept that she might met him soon.

” Grub! Grub wake up!” Hate said , shouted in truth.Grub Kelp jumped 3 inches in the air and clucked his heavy beating heart. Grub looked around and he gasped.

” You look so much like him…” Grub’s voice trailed off. and his eyes grew to the size of dinner plates. ” Oh My God Hate your so beautiful ! and so big! I can’t believe it! I’m finally get to see you and now I’m all teary eyed!” Grub said almost crying.

Hate was suprized by this turn of events. Grub was cryng now but all Hate could think of was him she wanted to meet him now but she held in her thoughts.Grub jumped and huged her around the neck . Hate beeing on the ground she was only a couple inches taller than Grub.

” Uncle Grub ? You o.k.? ” Hate asked her uncle. Grub nodded and whipped his eyes. ” Uncle Grub is Trub around? ” Hse asked looking around the room witch was empty sept for a bed and Grubs litle chair.

Hate hear laughter from above her. HSe looked up at the shimmering patch of air above her. Hate jumped up and hugged the man shimmering into view above her.

” MMMMMMMMmmmm” Trouble said or tried to say. Hate let go a little. ” I siad do I ever leave ?” He asked , a killer cute smile on his face.

” You’d better not have been there when i was with Arty!” Hate said growing angry and she let him go to look him in the face. Trouble didn’t get to awnser because he was interrupted.

” SO I’m Arty now?” A voice called a hint of laughter in it. Hate let Trub go and spun around . Hate was greeted by the site of Artemis.Hate gasped and covered herself realizing the fact she was in her pj’s in a room full of guys.All of the guys laughed .

” How did i get in my pj’s??” Hate said red with embarrassment and anger. All the guys fell deadly silent.

” Um that was me I’m your uncle so i didn’t care also it’s not like i wasn’t in the room when you’ve been changing for the past year. so ” Trouble said hurried and pushed together. Hate glared at her other uncle.

” Well no hey Artemis or hug for me.??” Artemis asked changing the subject . Hate smiled and walked over to him sliding her arms around his neck. she pressed her forehead against Artemis’s and whispered soft greeting to him. He couldn’t talk or breath for that matter. So Hate kissed him so he wouldn’t pass out. When they broke apart another childlike figure was in the room and she was trying not to barf.

” EEEWWW Mud love!” She cried and ran from the room. Hate looked at the spot were she had left . looking closely Hate saw her way out. A door. Seeming to read her mind Grub spoke.

” Hate you can’t leave if any one saw you …. Just no!” Grub said his voice pained at the thought of telling his niece no.

” Can I see him?” Please Uncle Gurub ? Trub ? I have the right to meet him!” You can’t bring me down here and excpt me to not see him!” Hate said leaving Artemis’s arms and pinning Grub and Trouble up agaist the wall.

” No you can meet him . he wants to see you.” Trouble choked out. Hate released him and did a kind of victory dance inttrupted by someone caughing.

Hate McDonald turned to the door and her breath caught.The man standing in the door was the male version of hate. His hair streaked with gray was the same color black.His eyes , deep brown , looked so deep that hate could have drowned in them. His build was short ,obviously because not one of these people were taller that her waist,  with broad shoulders , with a muscular looking chest. Hate wanted to run over and hug him never letting go but she had to keep her cool .  After all she didn’t want her Father to get the wrong impression.

The man wasn’t looking at anyone in the room he was reading a chart. Hate thought he wasigroneing them and that angered her.

” Hello ain’t you even gona say hi?” Hate demanded practialy screaing. Her face turning a lovely shade of beetroot red. He looked up and Dropped his clip-board. He was staring at Hate . His dreamy eyes drifted up and down Hate’s body . He shook his head. They were still there. This must have been to much for him because he turned and barfed everywhere.

Hate ran forward and caught him as he started to fall. Scooping up her father she laid him down on the cot. He was out cold.

This susprized everyone in the room  because they all knew  Julius Root personally and he did not  faint. Ever! thats right Hate’s first time meting he father and he had fainted.

About an hour later Root came round . He tried not to move he looked around at everyone. Grub sat in his chair half asleep. Trouble was playing game of cards with himself and finally his eyes strayed to Hate and Artemis .Hate was laying in his arms half asleep while Artemsi was stroking her hair and whispering soft sweet words into her ear.

Root spoke, ” Artemis get your hands off my Daughter!” He said in a low menacing tone. Hate shot to the cots side looking at he dad.

” Jeez Pop it’s your first time seeing me and not fainting and you’ve already started the whole protective thing. What am I going to do with you?” Hate asked rubbing the tips of his pointy ears. Root smiled at his daughter and thought about how much she looked like him. Just not Her eyes, no she had her mother’s eyes! Her mother. Johanna!

Root sat up straight. ” Johanna!” OH gosh ! ” He said trying to comb his hair with his fingers , and straight his barf covered uniform. Hate lowered his eyes.

” SHe not he Pop She died after I was born.” Hate whispered.Tears leaked unwelcome from Hate’s eyes. Root’s heart was deeply troubled at his daughters mournful crying. He reached up and wiped Hate’s eyes.

” Don’t cry …? um… What is your name?” He asked with a sheepish grin. Hate laughed .

” Hate.” SHe giggeled at Root’s troubled face.

” Hate Root ?” He said frowning , ” It doesn’t sound right. ! WHat ’s your last name?” He asked looking questionably at Hate.

” Mc’Donald.” Hate siad frowning herself.

Well as much as he hated to do it Hate couldn’t live with him n Haven. It was against the rules. Well not really there had never actually been a half n’ half  and Root didn’t want to be the first man in Haven to have a Half n’ Half.Hate didn’t like the way they called her a Half n’ Half she thought it made her sound like coffee creamer.

A resolution was reached. Hate was going to live above ground at Fowl manor with Artemis. Hate’s ” Parents ” didn’t mind they were tired of Hate’s constant stream of refusals and bad marks. Artemis of course was happy!

on the way home in a shuttle Hate was laying cat like on Artemis in the bunk part.  ( The y were taking a slow tunnel with out a hot shot to ride!) Artemis couldn’t think of a happier ending to a good day. His girlfriend in his lap, coming to live with him , a free visa with his girlfriend , Root was happy and AS FAR AS ARTEMIS KNEW THE MANOR WAS SAFE!

Hta’s when he got the phone call.

” Artemsi come home now this is important.” Butler said

” I’m on my way.” Artemis said his brow creased. What now? Artemsi leaned back his face etched  with worry. Hate looked up into her favorite sight in the entire  world . Her favorite Pair of  Electric  blue eyes  looking into her face the feeling were easily read. Hate felt the same way. She  stretched up wrapping her ams around Artemis pushing his forehead into hers she kissed him. His hands knowing in her Black Hair . His lips parted and this time Hate didn’t pull away.
