Minerva eventually recovered a bit. Just enough to treat herself like a human being. The depression was still under the surface, waiting to crash over her the moment Artemis hurt her again.
By this time, Artemis was growing fonder of Holly by the second. She was eternally cheerful, funny, and vivacious. Such a change from the scheming Minerva. Holly was genuine, she never acted like anything she was not. Unlike Minerva.
Artemis took no notice of Minerva these days. He was too busy with Holly. He was starting to look forward to each day, as he had Holly, and he did not have to dread the news of Minerva’s new fling with somebody or other.
Going shopping with Holly was a pleasure. As she could have passed for seventeen (with high heels), and Artemis was eighteen, it wasn’t hard to pretend that Holly was a human. Minerva knew, but she could not do anything. Artemis was a stranger now. To her at least. She was, quite literally, heartbroken.
She talked to herself in her head too. She asked herself why did Artemis dump her, why did Artemis exchange her for Holly, the scheming little fairy girl. How was she inferior to that shorty? Her intellect was greater, she was prettier, and she was a human.
Holly, meanwhile, was having the time of her life. Artemis seemed to be really fond of her. Like, as in, he wasn’t pretending to like her because he wanted to hurt Minerva.
Artemis’s life now revolved around a singular person. Guess who. Holly. He thought about his feelings every night, but the only conclusion he arrived at was that he had really fallen in love with Holly. He did not like that: it was just another weakness for his enemies to use against him.

I like it. The characters might be a little OOC, but I’m not sure. It’s really, really, good!!!!!

I’m sure Artemis actually isn’t really that harsh and why does everyone write about Holly hating Minerva and both of them like-liking him? It’s wierd and as you can tell I’m a M/A shipper so I’d like variation.

I like the breaking up thing, but I think its a little weird having Holly as AF’s gf…
I mean, interspecicies relationships are a little, well, u know….
The depression thing is a little dramatic…
I like the rest of it though!
