Loading ...I’m twisting it a bit. The end of this chapter should be really entertaining….just you wait!
“Should we release the details of Naomi Misora’s disappearance? Perhaps if someone saw her…” Ukita asked.
“Don’t forget, it’s related to the Kira case so she’ll get killed if she’s not dead already” Artemis added. “and if you withold photos, it’ll get difficult. If you don’t say it’s related to the Kira case, no one would care and if you do say it’s related to Kira, people will be too scared to do anything”
“She was probably killed by Kira to keep her mouth shut”
“Then why are we still looking for her if she’s already dead?” Matsuda asked.
“Regardless, she may know something…and-”
“Ryuuzaki! There’s something you should see!” Watari came sprinting into the room and turned on the TV.
“A few days ago, we recieved four videos, allegedly from Kira himself. This is not a hoax. We are being held hostage by Kira” An announcer for Sakura TV proclaimed.
“What?!” Simtaneous gasps could be heard throghout the room and Artemis was honestly confused. Light had never said anything about doing all this!
The screen went blank, all except for the letters K,I,R, and A written in sloppy Old English Five letters. An imitation to L.
“Greetings. I am Kira. To prove that I’m really Kira, the defendant on trial on channel twenty eight will die of a heart attack”, said ’Kira’. The voice was garbled as well.
“Quick! Turn to channel twenty eight!” Ryuuzaki commanded. Matsuda obliged.
The man (who was going to be convicted of murder) suddenly dropped dead of a heart attack.
“It’s Kira!” Matsuda shouted.
“I wish for a world with peace…” Kira’s voice went on. “and I see the police as allies…”
“We must stop this broadcast immediately!” Ryuuzaki muttered.
“I’ll go and get the tapes!” Ukita went out the door.
“Me too!” Artemis followed him, dispite Aiziwa’s protests.
“I would like the world’s cooperation”
(Sakura TV building)
Soon, they arrived at Sakura TV in Ukita’s car. Ukita ran out first, desprate to retrieve the tapes. The security guard refused to let him in, even after Ukita revealed he was with the police. In desperation, Ukita drew his gun, preparing to shoot his way in.
Suddenly, he collapsed at the door. He died of a heart attack.
Back at the headquarters, everyone gasped as the Sakura TV channel switched to live feed from in front of the building, showing Ukita’s corpse.
“Ukita!” Artemis shouted. Light wouldn’t try to kill him…would he? And if this wasn’t Light acting, but rather another Kira…but Artemis rushed at Ukita’s side anyway, checking that he really was dead. This was definally the work of a death note…
“What the hell does he think he’s doing?!” Aiziwa shouted. “He’s going to get killed like Ukita!”
But strangely enough, even after a few minutes, Artemis remained alive. After the realization that Light probably needed to keep him alive, Artemis took his gun and tried breaking into Sakura TV and ran past security to get the tapes. As stupid as it was, Artemis wasn’t recieving signals from his brain at the moment, as he had just watched a collegue get killed. Sure he killed crimminals, but they were just pictures and names to him. Ukita was an actual person that he knew…
As irrational as it was, the only thing on his mind was to get the tapes and he rushed into the broadcasting room, mesmerizing the guards and the director into giving him the tapes and hurried back to the headquarters.
(Kira task force)
“What the hell did you think you were doing?” Aiziwa shouted in Artemis’s face and he flinched.
“I got the tapes, though…” Artemis shrugged, glad that he survived his heist.
“Yes, good work, Artemis-kun…however, there are other pressing matters on my mind…” Ryuuzaki sipped his coffee.
“What?” Artemis didn’t like the look in Ryuuzaki’s eyes.
“Don’t you think it was strange that Ukita was killed even though it was unlikely that Kira knew his name? You went to Sakura TV as well, but no attempt was made on your life” Ryuuzaki took a bite of cake. Artemis stared. Was he serious? The other task force members seemed to get the same idea.
“It would seem that either Artemis knew Kira and had emotional connections, he is Kira, or that it was a coincidence that Kira knew Ukita’s name from another source. If Artemis-kun’s life seems revelent to this Kira, then he could be connected to him” Ryuuzaki pointed out. Artemis couldn’t completely blame him. He could have drawn the same conclusions himself. But why, of all times did this have to happen?…
“Thus, it is in my opinion that it would be in our best interest to confine Artemis-kun. Better safe than sorry. We can review the tapes tommorow” Ryuuzaki started playing with his sugar cubes. “I’m sure you would not object, as you can understand my reasoning…” The whole task force shot mutinious glares at Ryuuzaki. Everyone was fond of Artemis, and he was an invaluble asset to the Kira case and seemed quite noble.
“Yes…” Artemis gave in. There was absoultely nothing he could do to prevent it. His magic was spent on mesmerizing all the guards last night and acorns were hard to aquire in Japan. Protesting his innocence wouldn’t help the matter, but only draw more of L’s suspicion. And confinement was the only acceptable thing to do for a Kira suspect.
“I understand…”
(Light’s room)
“Argh!” Light banged his fists on the table. The idiot bastard! Artemis wasn’t supposed to draw attention to himself! It was only a matter of time before L made the connection between Artemis and Light. It would take a while, though. They had been exceptionally secretive about their ‘friendship’, but if Artemis slips up again…there was no guarentee that he wouldn’t give him away. And on top of the problem with the new ‘Kira’…this wouldn’t be pretty…
“Hey Light. Wanna play a game of Mario Golf?” Ryuk asked before Light shot him a glare. If looks could kill…
(Unidentified room)
“You seem frustrated”
“Shut it, Rem” A girl snapped. She was in a rather foul mood.
Why did he have to be involved, of all people…Crisse!
“I just wanted to fight for the same cause as Kira. Crime doesn’t pay…an important friend taught me that” she growled as she resumed writing her psycology paper.
If only the Fowl boy had minded his own buisness…
“This is bad…I need to find a way out…”, the girl muttered.
“I’m sure you’ll find a way” the shinigami Rem had no doubt in her abilities.
“Well, of course I would. After all, moi is a génie” she smiled.
Sorry if this was sloppily written and there’s a lot of plot holes and if I skipped over a lot of explanations… It’s eleven pm and I’m not getting sleep so it’s hard to typsdffg…please revieww…snoreeerrr…
Crisse is French for ‘damn’ and there’s cyber-cookies for anyone who can guess who the second ‘Kira’ is. It’s not hard XD

OH.MY.GOD I just LOVE death note I’m so happy you did a crossover! The story is really nice so far, I like it! Maybe Artemis should be on Light’s side. I like it that way. =D Just an opinion.
But great job so far. I’ll definitely check back.

Death Note is the awesomest anime/magna ever!!!!! Maybe Arty’d do better if he’s with L. You know, Light’s kind of like a more dangerous version of his 12 year old self.

I’m not into Manga, but I found Light’s story to be fascinating. I’m inclined to think that Artemis’s brainpower is match enough for anyone, but with a tool like the Death Note, he may have found a competent adversary…or will they be conspirators? It could easily go either way, and I don’t have a preference. I’ll check in on your story again.

Yotsuba is the company that got ahold of the Death Note after Light loses his memory…:o Oops. I think I said too much!
Hmm…also, maybe I’ll also give Arty the ownership of one Death Note later on and he loses his memory later…but I still need a dominant alliance.

I think one of the main reasons why he is so popular is because nothing can stand in his way. Not Ryuzaki, the FBI agents, being locked up, or the death of family members. He’s a hurricane that will tear up anything in its path. But I have more fantasies about Ryuzaki rather than Light…Ryuzaki’s so cute! Anyway, I’ll work on ch 4 if I have time.

Death and Artemis Fowl is THE greatest x-over ever! ^^ I wonder why no one ever did it though….

Once again a wonderful piece of Fanfiction from Star Jinin! Death Note is like the best ever manga in the world. I love drawing manga (however terrible at it I am). By the way, I know this will sound rather annoying but you spelt recognising wrong. Keep up the good work!!!

This is a very good story, but I would like to to point out something. When there is more than one person talking, it’s difficult to keep track of who’s saying what. So, can you maybe distinguish the dialogue. That would be much appreciated.

This story is interesting. Even though I started to watch it back in Feb., I’m hooked. Artemis, in my opinion, is a little OOC. The disappearance of Naomi Misora? What happened? I know I peeked, but you don’t know my name or how I look like. There is no way you can kill me.

Okay, Naomi died because of the death note. Light wrote it in to make her commit suicide without letting her body be found after he manipulated her into telling her real name, if you read carefully.
I had a theory about how the Death Note corrupts the owner’s mind, and a with a ego like Artemis’s, I thought it would be reasonable that he would be lured by the Death Note.

Well, yeah! That’s why I made her the second Kira. I don’t like her either, but I hate Misa more. And putting Misa in would make the story SO predictable to DN fans! Misa is such a moron. Another genius would be better. And I have to balance the AF and the DN characters otherwise I’m on shaky ground even for a crossover

Uh…I just told her that Minerva is the second Kira…I mean, I made it really obvious. I guess most DN fans are a bit biased. And I haven’t decided if I’m really gonna kill L. I might, I might not. I hope to end it after the sucessors come in, but before the 1/28 meeting. I’m not gonna include Mikami either. I hate that guy!

i like this crossover, but i really think you make arty a little stupid. i can never see him as a pawn to anyone. i see him ruling and planning the whole thing. make him win with l though because l is awesome.

Sigh…I know, but I like Light being the smarter one, and I know that Artemis is being a bit submissive. But I suppose he did learn some humility and…well…okay, I don’t have an excuse. I just wanted Light to be the dominant one! Artemis can tolerate being told to do something, while Light will throw a hissy fit or find some way out of it. I admit, it’s mostly favortism on my part. And Light’s much more ambitious and his mental strength is much greater. I’ll try to make them more ‘buisness-associate’ like in the future. Thanks for the reviews!
