The room was dim and had barely any light. Only a lamp that hung from the ceiling just above the squared table. Roger was the dealer. Roger had a totall of fifteen, John Boy had seventeen, Billy had twenty, and Joe had twenty one.

Everyone stared at Billy. There was a long silence till Roger started off. “You know what, Billy?”

“Yeah?”

“I just thought that you might aughta know that we ain’t stupid.”

Billys’ heart was pounding.

“And?”

“That’s right. We know you down wit’ da’ LEP.”

D’Arvit! They know. Now what? Billy thought.

Billy was about to get up when John Boy put is arm around him in a friendly way.  “Woah- woah, wait man. Where ya’ goin’? Hows ’bout another game?”

The results: Roger with twentyfive over twenty one- so he was busted, John Boy was busted too- had a twentyeight, Joe with twentyone, and Billy with eightteen.

Joe started talking all cockey.  “Oh! What now Billy?! Word!”

Everyone else started laughing.

“Now I get to blow ya’ brains out!” Joe said.

Billy reacted just in time. Joe pulled out a gun in an attempt to shoot him. Billy side-kicked the table toward Joe. The table slammed right into his stomach and he came down with a hard thud. Billy unholstered his gun and clubbed John Boy in the back of the head with the butt of his pistol. Roger came up behind Billy and whacked him with the chair and before he knew it, he was on the ground.

“Dang homes.” Roger said. “Try that and you gonna get yourself pimp slapped!”

Roger slapped Billy in the face with his fist and kicked him in the sides.

“Take this punk to the bathroom. We gonna teach him a lesson.” Roger said.

John Boy and Joe hauled up a knocked out Billy and dragged him to the bathrooms…
