Loading ...Rin was not undully worried about being reconized by mud men. Vampires weren’t really much different from the mud men besides their abnormally sharp fangs. In truth, mud men would not even acknowldge the existense of vampires if it wasn’t for that traitor Bram Stoker, but that’s ancient history now.
Rin combed her hair into a acceptable form, transfigured her rags, and magically hid her fangs. She also slipped on a pair of glasses because vampire vision shifted in sunlight. It was not as if you could walk into Dublin in tatters and not attract attention. Well, maybe she did want to attract attention, just not the mud mens’…
Artemis was awake in his bedroom when his phone rang.
“This is Artemis Fowl speaking”
“This is Minerva. Artemis, would you mind meeting me at this tea shop on Grafton street at eleven? Perhaps we could chat”
Artemis had a sudden vison of-no-stop thinking that. Blasted puberty.
“Fine. I’ll see you then” Artemis finished, then hung up.
Holly was hovering, shielded above Grafton street, snickering.
“Foaly, are you seeing this? Our little mud boy is going on a date”
“Are you kidding me? This is even better than human romance movies” Foaly was weak with laughter.
Ever since Holly had resigned from the LEP, getting a surface visa was more and more difficult. However, that was simply not the case when one of your best friends was a technology wizard. Foaly had done a little computer magic to grant Holly a visa (after hours of careful flattery).
Rin (although she didn’t know it), had wandered to Grafton street. She was throughly spooked by now. What unusual customs humans had. Wiping sticks of wax on their lips? Puncturing holes in their ears to insert golden rings? Rin shuddered before she stopped. Her eyes widened in surprise.
Rin sensed magic. It was pretty faint, and she couldn’t sense where it ommited from, but she didn’t have to look far. There! A raven-haired boy with deep blue eyes was sitting at a table with a mud girl. What in the world was he thinking?
Yes, Rin mistakes Artemis for a vampire and is freaked out to see him with a human because of how dangerous vampires are. Well, that’s what Arty gets for spending hours in front of a computer screen XD.
Rin rushed over and tackled Minerva out of her chair as Artemis, Holly, and Foaly gasped in surprise.

Yeah, and after her encounters with mud men, vampires will think of Rin as a traitor (oops… I think I said too much).

You can start rating by the next chapter. That is where things really start getting exciting. You expect the main conflict is Rin going home, but it really isn’t. It’s much worse.

DRAT!!! I forgot Minerva doesn’t appear before the Lost Colony! Oh well! Readers, just pretend that Minerva meets Artemis during that time! Stupid.stupid.stupid.stupid.stupid. Actually, scratch that. I’m just going to pretend this is after the lost colony and everything is settled down with all the mind wipes on Arty’s parents and Holly is still going solo.

Yeah, I forgot the vampire smile. And besides, vampire sight is greatly dilluted by light. I also could not come up with a decent title, and it will seem like a bloody lily later on. I think that covers everything. Oh, and I have bad grammar that I’ll try to correct.

I’m not really good at those “sweet” moments, but I’ll try in the future. Fear not, Arty fans! There IS a cure, it just depends on if Rin is willing to help them (or if she runs out in fear or disgrace).
