Well, most of my stories are mained on Holly, so I thought, how about a Artemis’s Life fiction? And so, here it is, just being started. I always like to start fresh fictions whenever I get inspired. So, sit tight, and don’t forget R & R: Rest and Relaxation! Comment please 😉
“Butler?” asked Artemis quietly. “Why were you assigned to me as a bodygaurd? I know it sounds like I’m complaining, but I’m glad we were paired. But there’s one strange part.”
“Yes, Artemis?” Butler asked.
“Why didn’t Juliet get shipped off to a different Fowl heir?”
“Because you were the only available Fowl heir,” Butler said, smiling a little. “You haven’t had any children yet, Artemis. And the Butler family is supposed to be assigned to Fowls. Your family, Artemis. Where else could Juliet go?”
“True,” Artemis admitted.
“Listen to me, Artemis,” Butler said, kneeling down so his eyes could look in Artemis’s. “I trust you completely, Artemis. I know you’re against Juliet. But she wasn’t actually supposed to be born while you were still the only Fowl heir, Artemis. Let her stay.”
Artemis looked away. “Butler…” he whispered. “I would never mistrust you… but… is Juliet really your sister?”
“Of course she is!” Butler exclaimed. But his eyes told the truth. “Well… no… not really… Well, by adoption. My parents couldn’t have any kids yet, I had just been born, so they adopted Juliet in case you grew up fast. And, Artemis, it looks like they made the right choice,” he added, studying his now-sixteen-year-old companion.
Artemis just looked away guiltily. Maybe Butler wished Juliet really was his sister; a real sister. Maybe Butler and Juliet loved each other like siblings. And he had weedled the truth out of Butler. Artemis just walked away.
