The Doughnut Dilemna
Written on February 22nd, 2008 by 017350Story Details
A/N: This is just a quick drabble I wrote because there was nothing else to do. Please enjoy this story. Remember, RR&R (Read, Rate and Review)!
Myles and Beckett sneaked down the stairs. It was Saturday. That meant doughnut day at Fowl Manor. Every morning, Angelina Fowl would get up bright and early, and went to Krispy Kremes and bought two dozen doughnuts. It was always the best breakfast of the week. Even Artemis enjoyed it. Who didn’t enjoy doughnuts? Myles and Beckett tiptoed to the kitchen, only to find that everyone else was already there and eating. There was only one doughnut left!
Myles and Beckett dashed for the table, both wanting that last doughnut. Myles dove for it. He almost had it within his grasp, when Beckett purpously bumped the table, hard. Myles fell off the table while Beckett made a dive towards the doughnut. Suddenly, the doughnut was gone. They looked up and saw a grinning Artemis with the last doughnut in his hand. He swallowed it in one gulp. “Delicious,” he said, still grinning.
Myles and Beckett stared in disgust. Then, they walked quietly to the fridge. They both looked at the endless rows of healthy foods. Wait! But what was that on the bottom shelf! The words Krispy Kreme were printed in big red shining letter on the side. They were doughnuts!
Within two minutes, all that was left of the doughnuts were a few crumbs. Myles and Beckett were at the table, moaning and groanong about how much their stomachs hurt. “I think I’ve had enough doughnuts to last a lifetime,” moaned Beckett. They had each had six doughnuts. Along with about fifty glasses of milk. “Even Butler couldn’t eat this much!” groaned Myles. They spent the rest of the morning in the restroom, making deposits in the toilet.

Olive- Thanks for thinking that. I was afraid that I didn’t make it funny enough…
Minerva Paradizo- Thanks. It is unlikely that he would eat that, but oh well… Is it called a dribble or a drabble? I forget…

I would do that to my little brother, it can get very annoying how quickly the breakfast foods can disappear in the house because of him. lol

Yeah same for mine, he eats my favorite cereal as a snack and all of the other good breakfast and snack foods!

My sister wouldn’t do that. My cousin would without hesitating though. I had to guess at Myles and Beckett’s personalites because the sixth book hasn’t come out yet…

LOL, Um.. i think it an interview Eion Colfer said they would be annoying, though I’m not sure….

LOL! Great story!
My little brother wouldn’t, like, purposely eat my food. Well there are a few things this 11 year old bro would do that you wouldn’t want to live with … 1 Throws food at me. 2 switches plates with me and eats my food when he’s done. 3 brakes the plate so he doesn’t have to do the dishes. Oh, and he does the same thing that Artemis did in this story! LOL!

PS: Only 0.43 to go until it’s a total 5/5!

I doubt it will ever be 5/5. That would mean that EVERYONE would have to rate it 5/5 from the time I wrote it until now!

I didn’t REALLY like it because everything seemed OOC and it was kinda bland for my taste. So they just woke up to find doughnuts, Artemis ate the last one, they get dissapointed and find another box in the fridge? Sorry, but the whole thing sounds like a little kid’s story. I liked the “made deposits in the toilet” part though.

Yeah. BlackOpal said the same thing. And I told her: “I wasn’t really expecting it to be a big hit. I only spent ten minutes writing it.”. But what do ya’ know! It’s on The Top Ten Rated!
