before I start my story, I would like to thank a few people.Vinyaya, Jade Malice, Emily Rodda, Eoin Colfer.
“This is it,” Artemis Fowl said, straightening his jacket.” My time machine.”
Holly, Trouble, Juliet and Minerva whistled. Artemis must have spent a fortune on this! The machine had steel walls which had a blue glimmer to them, showing that they were of the finest quality. The front had a thick glass door with seven buttons and a lever. Inside was equipped with a laser finger-print scanner and a coded alarm. For pleasure he had included a large sofa and dining set. There was even a refrigerator and a stove.
“Does this thing even have a library?” Trouble asked, his eyes dancing in amazement.
Artemis nodded. “For entertainment I have also installed a high-speed internet computer in there. The walls have projections of movies which come from that projector over there, and if you really are feeling bored even after you have checked out the swimming pool, there is a table-tennis table.”
“So what does this thing run on?” asked Minerva, patting the steel walls of the machine. Artemis smiled his oh-so-famous vampire smile. ” A special fuel that I have concocted in my lab.I won’t tell you what it is, of course, but I will reveal that it requires something from the time you are going to visit for it to work.”
“What if you want to go into the future?”Juliet asked, sizing up the machine. “And does this thing have a television?”
Artemis sighed, lowering his eyelids until they covered half of his eyeballs. (Minerva nearly fainted at his “sexiness”) . Only Juliet would ask a question like that.
“I do not believe that most people would like to find out what happens to them in the future. It is supposed to be a secret. And no, it doesn’t have a television. It is a waste of time.”
Juliet smirked.Artemis was trying to evade the fact that he hadn’t managed to make it go into the future yet. ” Seriously, Artemis,” Juliet said, raising her eyebrows.
Artemis glared. “If we run into our future selves, we could completely disrupt the space-time continuum and cause a major break in the atomic energy of-”
“What is this, ‘Back to the Future’?” Holly demanded.
Artemis fixed his glare on her. “Do you want to accompany me on my journey to visit Albert Einstein, or not?”
Minerva’s ears pricked up.”Albert Einstein?” She asked breathlessly. “Oh Artemis, you think of everything!”she said as she flung her arms around him. “Gerroff!” He yelled under her tight grip.”Gerroff!” Holly smiled as Minerva unwound herself from Artemis. “Well, you can count me out,” Trouble said, making his way towards the door.”Watching two geniuses ramble over Algebraic equations? No, thanks.”
Holly had to agree with him.” Me too.”
Juliet stuffed her hands into the pocket of her mini skirt. “It does sound rather boring.”
“I’ll go with you, Artemis!” Minerva said with shining eyes. “Oh, dear. I don’t think it’s really all that necessary, Minerva. I’ll only be gone for an hour or two.”
“SHH!” Holly exclaimed form her seat on the cellar stairs. She and Trouble were poring over a thin book on Holly’s lap, eyes fixed on the small print. “This is a good part!”
Artemis raised one perfect black eyebrow. He strode over to the steps and yanked the book off of Holly’s lap, holding it up by two fingers. “Deltora Quest,” he read. ” The Forest of Silence. Holly, don’t you know what kind of garbage this is?”
Holly actually looked hurt.” It’s not garbage. This book has become a bestseller in Haven.Do you know how many strings I had to pull to get my hands on a copy of this book?” She said, yanking it out of his hands.
The book slid out of Holly’s undersized hands and flew straight into the vat of boiling, frothing purple liquid that was the time machine’s fuel, making a little plop as it fell in and sank to the bottom. The acid burned the book up in seconds, and Holly had no intention of pushing her hands into a boiling vat of acid just to retrieve a Deltora Quest book. But she did intend to yell at Artemis.
“You idiot!” she shrieked.” Look what you’ve done to my book!”
“Look at what you’ve done to my fuel!” Artemis yelled.
“Now I definitely don’t want to time travel!” Juliet said. “Who knows where it will take me?”
Minerva suddenly screamed a very loud, very coarse French swear word, stopping all conversation.
“You just-” Artemis said, too stunned to stop gaping like a retard.
Minerva smiled brightly and smoothed out her dress. “I don’t want to go see Einstein. I want to go back into the Renaissance period. The Paradizos are a very old family.”
Artemis looked in wonder at Minerva and pulled out a very old watch from his pocket. “This should be about that old.”
“How convenient,” Trouble grumbled.”We can’t go because They’ll think we’re witches or something. Just great.”
“You could shield,” Juliet shrugged. “And you have the mesmer.”
“Cool.” Holly said. “It’s all settled then.”
“Wait. We should take our neutrinos. Just in case.”
Trouble pointed to her hip pouch. “We have three each.” Holly smiled.”Let’s go, then!”
Artemis went into the pod first to change into the appropriate gear with Trouble, who agreed that he and Holly could pretend to be children instead of wasting magic on shields.
Soon, they were all ready. Juliet would pretend that she and her four children were visiting in a nearby town, and Minerva and Artemis would get to see their great-great-great-great-great-great-great- uh, their ancestors.
But as soon as Artemis had coded in the date, time and place, Holly remembered the book that had fallen into the fuel………………..

This is the 1st crossover that I’ve ever read with the Deltora Series. I liked it. It was interesting and had few spelling errors. I bet they totally messed up the story’s timeline
I adore the Deltora Series too, espically Lief.
