Amon Dilo: Getting Ready For The Deep
Written on November 3rd, 2008 by Amon DiloArtemis Fowl, he discovered the fairies, he fought the fairies, beat the fairies and then became their friend. But now another human has discovered them and he’s no child. Amon Dilo, millionaire, inventor extraordinary and criminal master mind. He’s found out that fairies do exist and that their just sitting there, practically begging to be robbed.
It was unbelievable, quite unbelievable that no one up until now had discovered them. Amon rubbed his hands together. But then again not many scientists or world leaders would like to be caught saying that they believed in hobgoblins! The trouble was, or rather would have been if he wasn’t a millionaire, that hundreds of miles beneath to earths crust was hardly a stroll down to the shops. As it happened Amon had all the equipment he needed prepared. His own personally designed pressure suit. A wide range of firearms, his forgery kit, lock picks, and all the other tools a master thief would never be caught in side a top security vault without. And finally, mountaineering tools, to enable him to climb into the underworld.
He had never given fairies a second thought until, a year ago he had heard about a strange, unearthly, missile sited in Munich. After invesgating this he found more rumours and strange tales. The unexplained explosion of a whaling ship in Dublin harbour and an odd looking child in a muumuu disappearing in to thin air at Taiwan Tower. The appearance of a horned demonic creature in Barcelona and the mysterious damage done to the roof of a Russian chemical waste train. And the further you went back the more frequent the stories became and Amon had eventually arrived at a conclusion. What if all these oddities are connected?
So after months of research and weeks of surveillance Amon had not only discovered the whom but the where. Fairies and based at Tara, or more accurately, beneath it. After only a week of careful observation Amon had seen, only for a second before it shimmered out of site, a fairy craft emerging from an apparently solid earth bank near a farm house. For a while he had toyed with the idea of stealing a fairy shuttle and using it to fly to the Deep as he all ways though of it. But he had ruled this out as impractical and dangerous. For one thing he had no idea how to fly a Fairy craft and two it would be far easier to track. No, just abseiling down seemed like the best approach, after all as a master thief he had done his fair share of climbing into banks and museums.
“I wonder when they’ll discover that I nicked the Mona Lisa in the 80’s?” Amon wondered aloud. After a moment of consideration Amon shrugged and returned to checking his equipment for the hundredth time.
Amon peered through the wind-screen of the rolls roys phantom, their it was, the hidden entrance to his gold mine. And no one new!
In the next chapter: Amon brakes into Tara shuttle port, steals fairy weaponary and desends into the underworld!

Please, better grammar? And it’s not called the underworld, it’s called the Lower Elements. One tip, try to create more paragraphs.

Thanks for the comment, this is my first story, so its not as good as i’d like. However, my charrecter has never entered the fairy world, thats why he doesn’t know the correct name for it yet. But he will.
