Dear Miss Minerva,

I trust you are quite well and as I hear is Valentines Day tomorrow I send my love, more than usual. Butler sends his love to your bodygaurd Evie, they have been getting along well together. I was wondering if you would want to help me against Opal Koboi II at the Spirol Building this saturday. I will probably need the help. On Valentines Day meet me at the Eiffel Tower and I will take you for an air-tour in our private jet over the Amazon rainforest and then we are going to Africa on safari. Come prepared. Remeber to bring Evie as Butler will be waiting. I have enclose a single white rose in the special Keep-It’s-Shape package. See you then, Artemis Fowl II

Dear Artemis Fowl,

I am well thankyou and I send my love in return as does Evie. I give my thanks for the rose, it is beautiful. I would be happy to join you on saturday and yes I will meet you for the trip. Please take into account, however, that my father does not know about me coming, he does not aprove of my being with boys but I know I will be safe with you. I have an Amazonian White-Striped snake to release so could I bring that along too? I have also sent a DVD I made about the theory of the Big Bang, I hope you will find it interesting and agree with my view. Love, Minerva Paradizo.

Trouble and Holly

To Holly, Hi! At the moment I am at Foaly’s OPS Booth, could you meet me there as I have something to ask you. Would you like to help me and Artemis with Opal Koboi 2 at the weekend but that’s not the question I wanted to ask you. I was wondering if you wanted to go and see the sunset at Tara tomorrow as it is Valentines Day. Got to go, Trouble.

A/N: The song is called ’Seasons Of Love’ from the musical ‘Rent’. This takes place during The Lost Colony, and I am not an A/H shipper, but I thought it worked better this way. So…ya.

How do you measure, measure a year,

It had been three years since Artemis had kidnapped Holly. And a year since they became friends. Unknown to their friends, it had been only a little while since they fell in love. Which is startling seeing as they first met when Artemis kidnapped her. Not the best way to meet someone. Though it is said that people fall madly in love during dangerous situations, so maybe not as startling as one would think.

In daylights, in sunsets,

In midnights, in cups of coffee,

In inches, in miles

In laughter and strife,

But they couldn’t think about that in their current perdicament. For at this time, if you could even call it a time, they were on the island of Hybras with time chaotically flowing around them. If something wasn’t done with the time spell, the time tunnel would collapse and demons scattered across time and space. Not a pretty picture. So as Holly fought off demons, Qwan and N˚1 were working with incantations, and Artemis working to understand how time was jumping forewards and backwards.

Holly and Artemis knew that they might not make it out of Limbo alive, but didn’t care. If they could save the lives of the demons and protect the People from being discovered, they were happy. Even if it meant they may never spend days together on dates, watch the sunset with each other, or see their friends ever again. It would be worth it, they repeated it over and over in their heads, and believed it, to a degree.

They had been secretly dating for one season. One summer to be more precise, a season of love, a season in which many relationships start and end. But not this one. It had defied the rules and was still standing strong. It was only a matter of time though. Only a matter of time. For life can easily be just as cruel as it is kind.

How do you measure the life of a woman or a man,

Even though they hadn’t been dating very long, they made plans for the future. Thinking of ways to try to get married despite the fact that they shouldn’t be together. Artemis is human, Holly an elf. As the saying goes: a bird may love a fish, but where would they build a home together. That didn’t stop them though, if anything it made them all the more determined to find a solution to their problem.

In truths that she learned,

Or in times that he cried,

In bridges he burned,

Or the way that she died,

Fate had a different plan for their future, one in which they couldn’t be together. For it was then as Artemis was dragging the bomb into place, that Leon Abbot plunged his sword into Holly. Using her last breathe, she asked Artemis to help her, but there wasn’t anything he could do to help her. So he continued his count of the time flowing around them, and tried not to lose his composure.

Remember a year in the life of friends,

After killing Qwan and N˚1 Leon Abbot came towards Artemis to gloat. Unaware of the pain that he had caused Artemis, and unaware of what the boy genius was going to do next. As time flung itself backwards, Artemis fired a single shot from Holly’s neutrino, aimed at the past Leon Abbot. As always, Artemis’ calculations didn’t fail him, the shot hit it’s mark and knocked Abbot unconcius. It also brought to life, those who the demon had killed.

Even though Holly didn’t remember death, she found out when the group was traveling through the time tunnel. When they emerged they looked at each other, only to see that they had switched an eye during the time they were in the tunnel. The only sign of what had happened to the lovers in Hybras.

Human Concert

“Hey you guys!” shouted Holly running into Foaly’s Operations Booth, she was waving an invitation in her hand, “Guess what we’re invited to! My cousin Emily goes to a human school and boy can she sing! She is having a concert at her school and we are all invited!” She was incredibly excited, she had a trick up her sleeve that she wanted to show everyone at the concert. “I only listen to Mozart, Holly, you know that. Minerva too.” answered Artemis, Minerva sat at the laptop next to him. “I don’t listen to music at all” replied Butler and Juliet simultainiously, they seemed to be doing that a lot. “I’m more into hoof-music.” said Foaly. “You lot are so BORING! Anyway you’re not going to be watching it… you’re going to be in it.” corrected Holly. She wondered what their response would be, she really wanted to go with Trouble as well, he was stood at the door. Everyone was silent. “All of you. Butler and Juliet are the bodygaurds, Foaly is the laser techni guy and Arty, Minerva, Me and Trubs are singing our own songs.” Still silence. More silence. “WHAT!?” they cried all of a sudden, it was loud enough for Root to come running in. “If you’re gonna shout do it somewhere else otherwise I have the orthority to arrest all of you!” he threatened, then stormed out. This was his usual mood. Even more silence. Holly was getting bored. “Well if you change your minds come and see me. Bye bye” She left. The rest gradually filtered away. Would they do the concert in front of humans? Could they sing? Could they be bothered? So many questions, 1 week to decide. Oh dear.

Choosing

Holly had been expecting it. She had always known that Trouble would propose to her. But it was a totally different experience than she had expected. He had dropped down on one knee. She had been expecting that. But what she hadn’t been expecting was the ring. It was absolutely huge. A diamond surrounded buy smaller diamonds. It was elevated slightly from the small stones, and glistened radiantly. Holly had said yes. Trouble had breathed a sigh of relief.
“That’s good.” he had said. “The ring was my grandmother’s. She gave it to me.”
So now, seven months later, she and Trouble were just starting to plan the wedding. They had been saving up their money from Section 8. They had a budget of $25,000. Holly was thinking of people to invite. She realized she really didn’t have any friends or family she still stayed in contact with.
“Trouble, I don’t have someone to walk me down the aisle.” Holly said. Her dad had died when she was 80.
“Oh. Do you have any grandpas?” Holly shook her head. Trouble had an idea.
“My dad could walk you down.” Holly nodded.
“Sure. You can ask him tonight. Who do you think we need to invite?” Holly asked. Trouble thought for less than a second.
“Mom, Dad, Grub, Foaly, Chix, and possibly Lily. She’s your friend, right?” Holly nodded. She and Lily had gotten their nails and hair done together a couple times.
“Then there is the rest of my family.” Trouble began listing off names. Holly wrote them down.
“Mulch.” Holly said.
“Oh! What about Artemis! He’s your friend. And Butler and Juliet.” Holly did nothing. She was not inviting Artemis Fowl to her wedding.
“No. I’m not inviting Artemis Fowl to my wedding.”
“Why not? He’s your friend!” Trouble said.
“He’s a Mud Man, and an aquitance, not a friend. There’s no way that we can get him down here for the wedding without causing general mayhem. He’s not coming. Period.”
“Alright. Is that it then? That’s a small list. Only ninety-seven.” Holly nodded.
“That’s a good thing. The wedding planner said $100 for every person. That’s only $9,700 for all the guests. Lily and I are going shopping for my dress tomorrow. That’ll be about $1000. So we’re at $10,700. That’s not counting the church. And the resteraunt for the reception. I was talking to Foaly, and he said that the Gillion Church is free, so that will be nothing. We can have the reception at Haven’s Fine Dinning. That’ll be another $7,000. So our total is…” Holly ran some calculations. “About $17,700. But we need the ring. We should pick that out tomorrow.” Trouble nodded.
“We could go to Goodman’s. I hear they have great quality in diamonds and silver.”
“Are you sure you want a silver setting? We could do gold.” Trouble said.
“Why do you want me to do gold?” Holly asked.
“Silver and gold are tacky. Wait here.” Trouble jumped off the couch. He came back with a wrapped box.
“This is an early wedding present.” Trouble said, sitting down again.
“Oh, thanks.” Holly ripped open the gift. Inside was a jewelry box. She opened the case.
“Gosh, Trouble. This is amazing!” Inside was a gold necklace. A diamond pendant hung loosely. There were earrings included.
“Oh, it was nothing.” Trouble obviously was lying. It had probably taken a huge amount from his savings account.
“I can’t believe there’s only two months left. I am so excited.” Holly looked at the clock.
“Gee, Trouble. I’ve got to go home. It’s almost 12:00!” Holly exclaimed.
She walked out of Trouble’s house, and down the street to her own.

I just added two more chapters, thought people might want to know. Also, whenever I add a new chapter, all my chapters are merged and I have to redo everything. Does anyone else have this problem, or know how to stop it? It really is frustrating.

Hey everyone! Hope all of you are doing great!

A few days ago I had posted an announcement that mentioned that I was unable to update as my computer was too slow. The only way I could update my story was to re-publish it all over again. Otherwise it kept saying ‘open new window’. And it still says that.

So I have really no choice but to re-publish everything. I will do it during June. I hope I’m allowed. I mean, it’s not an offense or anything, is it?

Sorry for any inconvenience, and thanks if you would have any solutions! (I tried 017350’s solution, but it did not work.)

PS: Does anyone know when Olive is coming back??

Miwako was just an ordinary girl. Albeit a very smart girl. She had graduated from all the Ivy League schools by the age of ten. She was a mastermind in law enforcement, and she was excellent at combat. She was part-elf and part human. And now an Irish teenager was out for her. Someone by the name of Fowl…….

Miwako hurried home. It was dusk already, and she doubted the police would let ‘a child’ out after dark. Honestly. She quickly keyed in the code number and entered her home. She thought she heard a rustle in the bushes of her neighbor’s home, but that could just be a stray cat. She had training to do.

Artemis Fowl II peered out of the bushes. “Next time can you please choose somewhere where we don’t have to sit on the dirt?”

“You wanted to spy on the girl in the first place.”

“Only because her lectures online are rivaling mine.”

“And her stories.” Butler prompted. “That novel on the time traveling in history was well written and gave you a feeling as though you were there.”

“And it did not involve research whatsoever. Let’s make out move tomorrow, shall we?”

Miwako did not like the last case in court. Property damage wasn’t her speciality. As she walked down the sidewalk, she decided to take the alleyways. That would be easier. She moved quickly down the dark streets. Suddenly she crashed into someone, who then pierced her with a dart. Hypodermic. she realized before passing out.

Fowl Manor

Artemis Fowl instructed Butler to put the girl in the next holding cell. He would talk to her later.

Miwako’s eyes fluttered open. She took a quick look around the room. Nothing of any use. Unless you counted a bit of metal pipes to be useful. And anyways, she was bound to the cot. Her magic[elemental+self-healing] was of no use if she couldn’t move her hands.

“Glad to see you’re awake.” a cold voice said.

She whirled to see a boy around her age, wearing a dark suit and shades. Mirrored, too. She recognized the voice patterns. “Why am I here, Fowl?” she said in icy tones.

Artemis frowned. This girl wasn’t supposed to know his name. “How is it that you know my name?” he asked, circling the cot.

Miwako smiled. “I memorized your voice patterns ever since I was eleven.” She gestured to the bands confining her on the cot. “And can you explain this?”

Artemis had been too absorbed in the girl’s intelligence and….he had to admit…..she was pretty. “I’m sorry…what?”

Miwako pointed to the bands. “Can you please explain this?”

“We had to keep you tied down so you wouldn’t do anything.” Artemis explained. Miwako glared at him. Her blue eyes had suddenly turned from a soft blue to a hard one.

“As I would do something like that.” Artemis left the room, talking quietly into the walkie-talkie. She heard the words ‘extra-dose’ and ’sodium pentathol’. She had to get out. Soon.

Holly was extremely annoyed. Not only had that odius Fowl boy captured her, but now he was doing the same for others! She remebered seeing that girl that just came in. He was kidnapping Mud girls his age! Holly returned to smashing the bed against the floor. She would have to get her out later. And then they’ll mind-wipe her.

Miwako toyed with the bands. She could see how they worked, with a digital pad. She typed in every combination possible. The lock unlocked, leaving her untethered to the piece of metal. “I am getting out of here for good.” she whispered. She grinned maliciously as the door swung open. Too easy.

Holly was bashing the floor when the cell door swung open. “I’m not hungry!” she yelled, then stopped to see the person she was yelling at. “Miwako? What in Frond’s name are you doing here?”

Miwako blinked. It was Holly. “Fowl kidnapped me in Japan. We need to get out.” Holly nodded curtly.

“Can you use your half magic?” LEP referred to part People part human as halves, with an extraordinary mix of magic. She knelt on the ground and muttered some Gnommish. The cement cracked for a brown sliver of earth.

“Let’s go.” she said, walking for the door. Holly grabbed her shoulder.

“You know that there might be a huge manservant outside there?”

“Oh yeah? Has he stuck his nose into anything that bites back with over ten years of training?” Miwako said, running out the door.
