Root stood at the end of the bed watching as Holly slept, everyone else had gone home. He was going to leave soon as well. “Goodnight Holly,” Root whispered. As he walked out of the hospital doors he thought ‘Why does Trubs still hate me?’ Then his smarter side said, ‘Because I lied to Holly and he really really likes her.’ Root walked down the dark steet absent mindedly. When he reached his house he sat on the sofa and turned on the T.V. “The Sectoin Eight Captain Holly Short is still in Haven Royal Hospital. Her speech is lost for now but we have been told that it will return,” the show host announced. ‘Oh great’ thought Root and then fell asleep.

Holly woke up the next morning to the sound of a door closing. She smiled sleepily as Trouble came to stand next to her. He hadn’t been able to come over the past few days because Section Eight had hired him as commander, and some goblins had escaped from their cell and started tourturing the dwarves; Mulch had only just escaped. “How are you doing Hols?” asked Trubs. “Fine thanks,” Holly replied. Wait, did she just say that? Trubs was smiling from ear to ear. “You have your voice back!” he said as he squeezed her hand, still smiling. “I’ll call everyone,” Trubs suggested as he dialed a number on his Foaly-Fone. “Let me talk to them,” Holly asked. Trubs handed her the phone. “Hello,” said Minerva on the other end of the line. “Look who’s back!” said Holly. ”HOLLY!” screamed Minerva, “You have your voice back!” “Yep and it feels great!” Holly said. “I’ll be right over!” Minerva shouted down the phone, “And I’ll bring Artemis and Butler too.”
