In LEP HQ everything was silent. Foaly was stood in the OP Booth staring out the window at the screen they used for mission plans in the diner hall. Even Mulch had stopped eating. It was pure silence. It was broken by Grub’s mug smashing on the floor. Root was stood in the centre of the screen surrounded by press and staring spectators. Then panic broke out, the press were pushing to get to Root and the spectators were pushing out to get away from him. When he got to Trubs the cameras were still following him and he asked “What’s wrong with Holly? Why does she have Demon Eye?” Root seemed mad. So was Trubs “Well she wouldn’t be like this if you had told her that you were her father!” Everything went silent once again. Grubs fainted. “W-What do you mean?” asked Root although for once his voice gave away the truth. Apart from their voices all that could be heard was the scribling of the press’ pencils on their notepads, they were getting a promotion if it killed them. Trubs was on to him, “So you are her father! Thanks for finally admitting it. What I think we all want to know is why you abandoned her.” “I didn’t mean to. I would have been a disgrace. She would have been hunted down by her older cousins. I didn’t mean to.” Root took a step back, he would have to tell the whole story now. “You see all of Holly’s cousins are deformed and they hated people that are normal. They are to afraid of me but they always have hated her. I did it for her own protection.” He was starting to get a bit more angry now. But Trubs was still pushing, “So what is wrong with Holly’s cousins?” Trubs wasn’t going to stop untill he had the whole story. Root confessed,”They’re all… part Goblin,” he waited for the screams. The scribling stopped. Trubs face lost it’s anger and he turned to face Holly. “She never knew, she was to young when I left her at the orphanage. I’m sorry” and with that he pushed his way through the crowd, he would probably have a smashed mug to wipe of the floor of the LEP diner hall.
