Chapter Five: Trapped
Fowlie gritted her teeth in frustration as she slammed into the concrete. She made only a few cracks, nothing big enough for her to escape. Her anger went over the edge as she collapsed onto the floor and began counting and muttering curses to herself.
“So, this is what insanity is truly like. Being caged inside your mind, unable to control anything you say or do.”
A wisp of silver bearing a calmer breeze than Fowlie’s own immediately helped the latter up. “Sit down,” the voice commanded. A figure mirroring her own image appeared before her. “Rhunön, pleased to meet you,” the silver wisp introduced itself. Rhunön was Fowlie’s twin, but there was something different about the way she held herself and commanded others. There was a silvery steel glint in her eye that told people to be careful when dealing with her.
Fowlie on the other hand, was exhausted from the stress of hurting and healing Dommy, and hosting her personalities. She was worn and wished only to sleep. She held herself weakly and her eyes were only a dull black. The difference between the two was astounding.
Fowlie sighed, “Thank you…” she said.
“I’m you….in a sense. I love her as much you do, even if I am your darkest side. It took…so much energy to heal her broken spirit. I just don’t…” Rhunön tried to reply, looking extremely troubled, before just going to her corner to meditate.
