artemis + famiglia

tutta quanta le famiglia fowl!

This was the splash page for the original version of FanGathering. Let's just be glad things changed!

The actual drawing in the center was done by AgiVega. :)

yeah holly, I thought it was aurum potestas est too. It is in the cover of the books. I've noticed alot of people saying est potestas lately... Confused
AgiVega   [Nov 17, 2006 at 09:25 PM]
In my version of the Eternity Code, it was 'est potestas'. *shrugs*
katya345b   [Nov 17, 2006 at 10:15 PM]
no stupid I know thats latin i mean the tutta quanta le famiglia fowl! what vesion do you have agi? the american one (like me ) or some other one?
P5YCHIC   [Nov 17, 2006 at 10:33 PM]
In latin, the order of the words doesn't matter at all.
katya345b   [Nov 17, 2006 at 10:51 PM]
so if it said est protestas aurum it would mean the same thing
P5YCHIC   [Nov 17, 2006 at 10:54 PM]
yea. It's the word ending. Example:

"Aurem est potestas" means "Gold is power," right?
"Aures est potestam" means "Power is Gold."
Nicole_artist   [Nov 18, 2006 at 02:31 AM]
Yeah but what if it was just Aurem Potestas est, wouldn't that mean "Gold Power Is" Neutral
P5YCHIC   [Nov 18, 2006 at 02:39 AM]
nope. No matter what order you put that sentence it still means "Gold is power."
AgiVega   [Nov 18, 2006 at 05:05 PM]
katya345b: I have the American version (published by Hyperion Miramax books)

Isn't the motto Aurum Potestas Est? Cool drawing.

technically, it doesn't matter, because you can change the word order around in Latin. I think the only rule is that the main action verb has to go at the end of the appropriate clause, unless it's imperative. Then, it goes in the front. Rolling Eyes

wery nice. the outer edges look like something from the newer artemis fowl books. very much like i imagined artemis would look. if i could draw properly, id probably do something similar, lol.
