Good News and Bad News

August 29th, 2007

I usually prefer the good news, so you can have that first. Our Artemis Fowl forums have been done up to integrate perfectly with the website now. At last the forum feels like it is actually a part of the main site. If you’re a Fowl fan, we’d love to have you join us for some great conversations!

As for the bad news, the graphic novel previews we promised you won’t be here for another few days. Sorry, but Puffin can’t send them out at the minute. We’ll get them to you as soon as we can!

The Last Artemis Fowl Book!

August 7th, 2007

Colfer has fixed up that video blog we mentioned earlier, and well…. I almost wish he hadn’t! Colfer covered a lot in this video, but most important of all was the fact that Artemis Fowl Book 6 will possibly be the last book in the series. If not, it will be at least 3 years before a 7th book is written. Hard news to hear, eh? Thankfully though, he has said that he will be tying up all the loose ends in book 6, and will write a 7th book “if anybody wants me to continue it.”

Hehe – I imagine we could find somebody… 😉

Aside from that, Colfer goes on to:

  • Say he’s very excited about the Graphic Novel coming this Fall.
  • Show us the cover of his next book, Airman.
  • Let us know that he will be at the Bath Festival of Children’s Literature.
  • Give us some bad news about our Write to Eoin Colfer project. He says that he already has a backlog of around 500 fan letters. That can’t be good. xD . Oh well, we are still going to go ahead with it, and hope he notices us!

“Almost” Another Colfer Video Blog

August 6th, 2007

Colfer has certainly recorded a new video blog, but it looks like he has had some trouble posting it this time. It went up just over an hour ago, so hopefully it will be fixed soon.

We’ll let ya know when the video is actually ready to be watched! 🙂

Any guesses on what you think it might be about?

Update:  Colfer tried again this morning, and an hour ago Foaly (The tech-wiz for EoinColfer.com) made a post called “Test Post,” so I’m assuming that he’s trying to sort out the error as well. I think that the problem is simply that they’ve clicked the “Private” option on Vimeo (Their video host). Bound to be sorted soon!
